It's been about two months since the Rise moved out from the Outer Ring. Some say they left because of irressistible offer to become BoB tennants in the South. We think more factors were involved, one of the major ones being how R0NIN proved to be a royal pain in their arse. Outer Ring has been R0NIN ancestral home for eternity, we like this poor crummy place, and we enjoy fighting anyone foolish enough to come here. On the other hand - we believe that Outer Ring is not worth claiming and find the empty space on the map appropriate to its insignificance.
However, with the departure of Rise, all of a sudden R0NIN realized that we had no-one to shoot at. To save our warriors from the sad fate of becoming carebears, we decided to give them training in Empire wars. We joined Privateers for three weeks, and enjoyed the Pew-Pew-Palooza carnage. This was certainly a refreshing change, and experience that we can recommend to anyone who's serious with pvp. We're sorry to hear that Privateers have been hit with the nerf bat now.
By the end of this Empire roadtrip, we started getting intel that several entities - namely Alektorophobia and Myriad alliance plus several smaller corporations - moved into Outer Ring and started to put up infrastructure. This is what we had been waiting for, we moved back home and started cleaning up.
After 4 weeks of fighting, our job is complete. Alektorophobia and Myriad have lost their ships, towers and morale; those that haven't yet moved out are trying very hard to. We would like to thank them for the good fights when they brought it, for the loot and for the effort of trying to claim the Outer Ring.
Stats are a bit hard to work out due to mixed gangs on both sides however as our kill board has more of our losses that any other board I'll use it.
R0NIN vs. Myriaphobia stats: 549 kills, 89 losses
65 / 9 Battlecruiser 61 / 21 Battleship 189 / 22 Capsule 72 / 6 Cruiser 8 / 0 Elite Battlecruiser 4 / 2 Elite Cruiser 42 / 20 Elite Frigate 79 / 9 Frigate 26 / 0 Industrial 3 / 0 Mining Barge
Next one, please ?
Disclaimer: We all know killboard stats arn't perfect. So please take the above with a grain of salt. It does however give a fair, albeit rough, indication of the events. Shivaja Queen of Outer Ring CHON ceo

I like Ronnin despite their dampener haxzoring my Corvus away from me... Nice to see you having fun lads.
Arguably my opinions represent to an extent the opinions of my alliance and in particular circumstances give rise to a valid "casus belli" claim. |

Now now Rhaegor. You know as well as I do how much damage their daily half-hour of playing the docking game with a carrier did! I lost minutes of my time every day. We could have used that precious time to kill almost 2 spawns in 4c ! ---------

The way you keep trying to spin getting kicked out of OR by RISE into some sort of victory now that we have left...is truely amazing.
+1
Lol, especially when you give the only REAL reason RISE left in your own post.

lol, sure of course you think that.
You wanna make a press release about how "good" you are doing against myraphobia? Talk about the current campaign, don't include the part when you got your arse handed to you by RISE and had to move out to Syndicate. I know you are still trying to make yourself feel better but it makes you look bitter.
Other than that, they look like nice stats, grats. -----------------------------------------------

Huh? Pain in RISE's butt?
I love RONIN! RONIN and Shivaja are directly responsible for my first carrier kill. Although I must confess, I still don't quite understand the logic of undocking in a carrier and launching light drones against a raven. I forgot to express my gratitude! That was my first carrier kill! Thanks Shivaja!
I am glad you are having fun in Outer Ring. Keep up the good work. Baymm Shadow Gypsies Rise |

We had some weak moments during the war with Rise, and we had some big victories. Mind if I remind you of the R-O battle ? And then we lost a carrier and half of the fleet the other day when the cynoship died on gate and cap ships landed all over the system. I guess we never really wanted POS wars, but got dragged into them, and then soon lost interest in defending POSes over and over again. Once we've been relieved of some ;), we started attacking more, and were the active party in the end. We had efficiency of about 70%, against Rise and all the alliances that joined them during the war (like Vertigo Coalition or Galactic Aphelion).
We hold no grudge to Rise and pilots who fought in Outer Ring, it was fun while it lasted. From what I hear, Rise is doing quite well down in south and certainly evolved from the alliance that we knew before. I'm looking forward to fighting them again in future.

Edited by: Drachenlord on 20/04/2007 04:39:36 Respect to R0NIN... in the short stint my corporation was in Alektorophobia, I found that they were indeed a good fighting force... even if they were all nano*****s.... but hey! who wasn't before the nerf :)
and by irresistible offer he means....
6 billion per month in rent, having to ask BoB if they can use the toilet, etc.. and even MORE monthly rent for the plexes they're running....
all while having to defend the space themselves, as if they weren't paying rent, because as of late, BoB hasn't made a show of force over there, now indeed they are quite busy elsewhere, but its like renting your own npc station... irresistible offer indeed.
Also... just a note... Don't smack my intel RISE boys, I have friends in your alliance... I'm not spouting rhetoric.. I'm just stating what I was told, by several different RISE members -------------------------------------------------

It's more like we left because OR became so quiet after you retreated to Syndicate and we had to travel far to get some targets. But anyway, no use bringing old discussion back, every side has it's own story.
I'm glad that our old enemies continue to have much fun since we left, as much as we have in Feyth. Nice stats indeed, gratz.

Good fights and some damn intense past months... Outer ring was a colonisation operation, oul goals we're to build assets and Structure in the alliance. Sure we wer prepared for combat big time and we cleaned the area in the first place and not only from ronin. But nothing could have prepared any of us for what Ronin brought.
I think the message is clear now, If you want to take over Outer Rings... be ready to bleed for it! Cuz youll hit a wall named The Ronin.
OOC: no KB e-peening just wanna give all the stats :P our KB campaign says: 665 kills 467 losses with an efficiency of 43.7% Tho it contains the kills during the whole OR operation and not only the Ronin conflict

This is in no way a troll reply but just so things are clear. Ronin Have been known to PAD their kill boards with fake kills.
Specificaly one recently where they claimed a loss of a dred. By a corperation that had not killed a dred. If they are willing to falsify 1 kill mail how many more have they?
Just pointing out the facts. And no i am not trying to troll or anything like that. Bow before me ! |

Only a small scale engagement, roughly 15 a side in a gang. We claim victory over RONIN with 10 kills to their 5, with us holding the field and the loot.

We killed a domi with a cyno generator and fuel, so I guess Ronin where plaining to jump the carrier in the next door system on us - would have been bad for us if they had been successfull.

Stating R0NIN has put a fake dread killmail on their board would be true. Stating that we have been known for padding our board with fake killmails is a lie and trolling.
Lucci's fake dread killmail has been one of the best April's fool jokes this year for me, and has spawned a number of funny petitions from my fellow alliance members. The killmail has been removed the next day then.
On the Corvus topic - I believe all of the ships won in last tournament are still alive, and Crellion was referring to the fact that we denied them the fight in finals where they could have won one.

Yes it was a good fight and yes the Carriers were the lynch pin of the plan ;-)
Good for you we had a moment of disorganisation. Still great to have some enemies in the area that'll actually bring it. We'd spent the whole night looking for someone to cleanse and you caught us at the end of our evening.
Puts you high on our agenda :-D be seeing you soon no doubt. Thanks for the fight.
