Hey everyone. Just wanted to start up a thread related to what we are doing so people can comment/discuss things here. Realized people who are choosing just to read along can't exactly post a reply in there....but based on the number of views so far it looks like a few of you are interested!
Just want to say I'm having an absolute blast with this and am rather enjoying things twisting and turning and not having any idea where this is going. I think we can start a really fun trend with this, and maybe start a new one up every month or something :)

I'm really just taking tidbits from everyone else and then adding in my own story I guess. I proded Davlos into joining me and yeah he doesn't really know what the hell is going on and neither do I. I'm just going with the flow.

I'm also really enjoying this. I have wanted to get into some RP in this game for a while now, but wasn't really interested in the politics of the Summit. This is a great way to introduse this character too.
I'm into the whole "not knowing whats going" on thing too, I have no idea what will happen next, but its been very fun so far

For the most part, this is really enjoyable to read. It's moved really fast. By the time I found it, it was already well on the way to its climax. Once this one is over, it'd be nice to do a few more - I'd like to participate in one, after all...

Maybe we could start a trend here and talk about some guidelines for these? Really not trying to cramp anyone's style by any means at all, but these might be a lot of fun if we say, self impose them to a certain number of people and certain number of posts, maybe make a game out of it that we can standardize and keep going, so lots of people can be included? This a good idea or a bad idea?
Maybe like, 7 or 8 participants per story thread, somewhere around 50 total posts to wrap up each story, you catch my drift?
Something like that would be a ton of fun, and these things would only last about a week or so and wrap up nicely, and then another group would get a chance to start their own new story thread with a new group of people. Maybe limit the thread to the first 7 or 8 people that reply to whomever starts it up, and we all agree not to start another one until the preceeding one has finished? This would force people to 'sit out' a round or two so we don't have the same group of pilots randomly running into each other for an adventure every other week ;)
((Then again I'm also really happy keeping it going indefinitely, you know, get this sucker up to 200 posts or something and stick with these people through thick and thin, with storylines weaving in and out as characters seperate and come back together.))
Who knows, I've never done this kind of thing before but I see a totally new idea here for the Eve library that a lot of people have a chance to contribute to. Big thanks to SChimera for starting this!!!

In my own veiw i'd rather leave the sotry rather free-for mand open to anyone, without any endings.
much like the Eve universe itself. maybe throw in seom actuly Eve-RP events (such as presidental elections, was) into the story.
Although i dislike some things people have put forward, i love the way the story keeps twisting and changing. Sorry i havn't posted anything for a while, but RL sometimes (only sometimes) comes before eve.

I would also like to give you kudos for this idea SChimera
As far as any "rules" go, I like both ideas, but so far it has really worked out just posting "by the seat of your pants" so to say. It keeps things rather fresh, and forces you to always think before you post.
I feel like if this were to go freely on its own as it is now, people could jump in and out of the story where they need to. There will most likely be opportunities for current players to jump out of the story with out having to be killed, and plenty of opportunities for new players to join in.
I say if anyone new wants to jump in, keep watching the thread, and choose the most opportune time.

I think for you or anyone else who is interested, this seems a good a time as any, and as most of us are doing our own things on that station right now. Perfect opportunity for new people to jump in from completely new directions or unrelated storylines.
Part of the fun of this is people doing their own things and seeing where we will run into each other. The pace seems to have slowed down lately as well, so some new blood might be just what the doctor ordered :) So yea, you, Shintoko, whoever, please contribute!

Revy is currently trying to track down Teristair, who was smuggled inside the station. I'm kinda waiting till other people post as I don't want to just keep posting and eat up other ppls plots.
We haven't heard from Wren, William, or Sythia yet, they may be near you. Or maybe even the same ship. If they're aboard the Serpentis vessel then they could find you.
Hopefully more people continue to post.

The two that were with me are no longer posting. I am debating just letting this part of the thread dry up and chimera can just write himself in best as he can with some sort of sucessful escape from the serpentis ship if he wants to keep going.

Hmm... I've just recently started reading on this forum, and let me tell you... I am quite enjoying this... nice plot twist with the Darkffox intro... it would require some new perspectives, and participation from current characters, but maybe it is Sythia... just a thought... I hope for an opening here to jump in in a bit, but I'm working on a short that I will be posting to the forum atm first, then we shall see. Great stuff folks.

Well I find Korthan/Selena's last post rather unfortunate.
First off let me say that I understand if you want to take a more confrontational attitude in this affair, although I believe you missed out a few things that I included in my previous posts.
A) Revy is interacting with Federation Customs in the pursuit of a known criminal, working for the Serpentis
B) She asked for a favor of the Security Councilor of Federation Customs, to get access to the outside EXITS of Selenna's hanger, obviously under the jurisdiction of the station, and should not have been deemed criminal. I can be flexible with the information leak though, because there could be Serpentis loyalists embedded in the Security detail of the station. Okay, I can cope with that. Revy then left her hanger to go to the main security wing of the station, it was never 'my' personal viewing room.
C) I don't want to come off combatitive here but Nir didn't have a chance to post his actions before Korthan knocked him unconscious. I think a fair trade to this would have been to let Nir respond with his actions before completely incapacitating him. Taking liberties here that infringe on other characters.
D) Back to the Selenna barge in (I'm writing these in order of the posts). In my last post I detailed that there were security forces outside the door, and this not being my personal room, there would have been several other security forces around. I just find it a far leap to say that this would have been allowed to happen when in fact the Blackwall and Selena, Korthan, & Davlos would be under scrutiny for the harboring of a criminal.
I want to reiterate that I'm not trying to be a stickler here, but I feel that these issues needed to be addressed. I'm sure it wasn't done on purpose, but I'd like some feedback on it.

I'm with Revy, and no offense, but I think it's perhaps a bit implausible for a squad of marines to be tossing flashbangs and grenades inside a secure station of all places. Security would be all over that in a heartbeat. You should think of the station as a basically 'safe' place and shouldn't have to worry about being flashbanged and being carted off as a prisoner!
And yea, I was hoping Nir would get a post in before being incapacitated....I think all of us have refrained from direct acts of violence against other people's characters as this would soon get really silly if we went that route. "I totally shot you! Nu-uh, I shot you first!"

Thanks Korthan, like I mentioned I'm not trying to ruin anyone's fun. I think perhaps a diplomatic approach may be a good compromise, however combatitive she wants to get within the conversation.
Thanks for the response and hope to see more posts in the future. That Serpentis fleet is on its way, I know a few pilots who are waiting for it to show up!

Agreed with all the points about, reading the last few post have been a tad painful since they dnt fit with the previous posts.
As a note, public station areas are weapons free as layed out in the Yulai Convention. So any form of violence in stations is limited to personal hangers or to hand to hand combat. And these would be responded to by station security within seconds.
Imaur, prehaps me and you could jump in together?

hehe, it is quite a good read, the entire thread is.
hopefully, my wayward ways won't interrupt =)
My character is basically an assassin. He/She  was given an assignment to terminate Teristair and obtain the DarkFox tech. As a unique corp of assassins, it just won't due to have these home-mades taking thier contracts. Perhaps we can find a cure? or eliminate the DarkFox protocols? We shall see

Aye, I just finished re-reading everything that happened. Such a cool story it turned out to be. I would be willing to continue, I just have to figure out how to do so, once this 5 day thing is up. I believe I will be re-subbing my other (more used) account though, maybe I can create a "pseudo-Sythia" on that account just to post with until I can sub the real Sythia back up.
I would love to continue though as I would most likely be using this as a "first appearance" sort of deal with Sythia. Now to think of how to continue with my side of the story... love whats going on at the moment though!

Al'Vos: Thats cool, you gave the story, and our characters, a lot to work with, and I for one thank you for that.
Billy: Read up on the story and find a spot where you can insert your character into the plot line, or feel free to change the way things are going...this is pretty much free-form RP at its best.
Try not to make too many decisions for other peoples characters, and just play off the others.

I had other things planned, but I am going to take some time away from EvE due to other reasons and don't want to leave you all hung up, so I closed my participation in it. Sorry I never got to cross paths with you all, but... well, things never go as planned. I'll try to keep up and read it from time to time, it was great fun indeed. And maybe... well, maybe in time I will retake it, in page 35 or whatever. ;-)

Hey guys, been reading the RPing thread and i noticed it ended on the 31st of July and there are posts in this thread speaking of keeping it alive from the 10th of Aug.
