And so comes the next installment of my series - featuring pure action from my Vindicator, including the recent destruction of the ship, and the rebuilding of it afterwards.
A very large amount of outnumbered action - I haven't done 'ganks' in this series, and don't plan on starting now! This is actually the third incarnation of this video, the first was lost a couple of weeks ago due to a HDD failure, and the second version got majorly re-worked into what you will view.
I also managed to resolve the quality degredation issues experienced at the end of Vindication 2. I am aware, however, that a couple of the text 'blocks' do scroll fairly quickly, despite lengthening them multiple times, so you may need to pause if you don't read English as your native language.

Was browsing EVE-Files recently uploaded files and I saw this! Thought to myself; "Is this a joke?" and went here.
To my pleasant surprise it wasn't!
Downloading atm, shame EVE-files seems to be heavily loaded atm so it's kinda slow.
I'll comment when I've seen it ;>

I had planned on uploading it to several different hosting sites - including Filefront, however it will have to wait until I return home tonight. If I'd have 'left' it on EVE Files unannounced, it would have found it's own way on here .
Once I return home tonight, I'll see about uploading it to a couple of other sites, and adding the links in - likewise, if you have the capacity to mirror it, you would have my eternal love

Yeah, it would be nice if one of the people who has finished downloading could upload it to something other than evefiles. I have 113 hours left so it won't be me. At least not for the next week .

I must be lucky I think since I just started and I get 1.5MB/s now.
But in order to aid a bit I blocked off China again  And the bw seem to have dropped a bit then so try with the above link again and see if it made any difference.

Did your friend carrier pilot have some sort of communication problems - looked he easily could get to remote rep range and your vindi would have been safed.

The torrent is working nicely atm with an estimated dl time of only an hour, just there are no seeds so we will see what happens

Just watched the movie, and damn the first fight was epic, awesome and crazy, even when you lost the ship.
I didn't read the text you wrote on your first post, i just downloaded the movie, so i was awwww, damn when the Vindicator went down. To be honest, i have never seen any fight with so much thriller in the first fight, when it's about one faction ship vs many others, if you know what i mean.
Good to see you got the ship replaced with a new one
By the way, i have one question though, and that's why wasn't the friendly carrier in the first fight remote armor repairing you?, or i'am missing something about the carrier?
Anyways, this is absolutely an 10/10 movie

Cheers for the kind words :) The Carrier warped in, bang on 50km from me (on the edge of the bubble), and was immediately sensor dampened. Despite Sensor Boosters, he had a single digit locking range (you see him lock me, then lose his lock when he first warps in).

Yeah, I was the carrier pilot. I had been afk for about an hour or so. I sat down at the computer and saw that phoneus was at the station in a fight. I warped in right into a well placed dictor bubble(nice placement FLA btw) that landed me 51km from the vindy. I started to slowly move towards remote rep range. Then i got damped....i had a lock range of 7km with a sb2 fitted. I did manage to get my fighters off on a megat before that tho :D. Not to mention that from my view i couldnt even see the vindy due to the mob all over him. by the time we got a few hacs in on the lachesis that was damping me to hell the shrike had already gone all explody.
I still feel partially responsible for it going boom.

Had he noticed that teck7 was the arazu dampening him to ****, and immediately locked the arazu and sent his drones on it when the arazu switched to your carrier, then the arazu would have been gone and you able to remote him.
Hard to think 100% clear in that situation though. ;)

Ok, I am not done watching the movie yet, not even done with the first, epic, best-fight-in-eve, fight yet but I have to say...
WHAT A WAY TO GO DOWN! Everyone says if they are ganna go down in some overly exspensive faction/t2 boat they want it to be epic but it usually turns out stupid where 10 guys gank you and you have no chance. Kind of how this fight should have gone if you weren't so uber and 1337.
But seriously, you are blessed to be able to go down like that, its every pilots dream!
That fight actually made me sad for you, kinda like how you feel at the end of braveheart or gladiator.
BTW, who are you? The poster? The guy in the game is Phoenus??

Nice job Ka'Lorn, the vid is absolutely 10/10.....From my perspective of the first fight, i had just got in from work from a night shift in a foul mood, logged into Eve and almost immeadiately a voice piped up on ts 'There's a lone Vindi outside our station'.....I think i was second or third to arrive on top of you. The mood i was in i needed to shoot sommat bad and wasnt about to let go....
As you might imagine there were screams of terror from our industrial based ts server when your carrier warped in to help followed by more screams of 'dampen that carrier DAMPEN THE F*****G CARRIER OR WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!'
and the rest is history....Teck7 wasnt the only ond dampening your carrier. I think if FLA had run outa ships that day we wouldve thrown shuttles at you to bring you down
Good job dude, twas a great fight, were all really glad you got fraps of it and a lot of FLA are still talking about it now.

If i could make one tini tiny little suggestion if your ever in a situation like your first (and bloody good) fight again....
Those battleships you popped, i know it hard in that kind of combat very difficult to juggle lots of stuff like that, but check there cans for 800's charges ;-) never know :D

To the carrier pilot: daimn dude, during the movie I was like, wtf is he doing not getting his fighters in, they even look like they're returning to ship, doesn't he at least have his own aggro those fighters should go against? But being dampened to frell like that just kinda explained a lot.

Honestly, if you have to fly a pimp mobile like that with that setup (daimn that be expensive) the only way to lose it is like this. That mega wreck might have had some 800 charges true, but who cares, you would probably still have lost her. Props to your m8s for getting the can, even one of those reppers saves you a lot of cash.
The other fights were pretty nice too, a few times the enemies also showed their tactical skills pretty well.

we see , true sancha is better not just in boost time but also in cap per sec

ther is not much to say about this video, its just Awesome footage music is ok aswell only point to improve a bit is the intro and credit presentation. as exampl i realy liked the intro on remember the vindi, the cut with the fast action combined with the music after that slow intro did alot to the atmosphere. sum seans inwitch you just own sum crappy players one after another as in a pirates life in the midel wuld be nice

Ka'lorn is my second "Main" Character, Phoenus is my older character. I learnt when releasing older videos that you tend to get a lot of mails / convo requests ingame, so I 'release' them on Ka'lorn, leaving me more free to PVP on Phoenus without disturbance
You'll see Ka'lorn ganged in a lot of the video's you do, as he's a fairly useful Covert Ops pilot

Very nice vid.
I really liked the first fight when you hoovered your mouse over your allies aswell, so we could see what ship they were in.
In most vids you only get to see what the enemies are in and not your mates, you should do it all the time :P

I noticed you only had core + TS repper since the boom, which puzzled me a bit since replacing the repper shouldn't be hard.
But if your plate was destroyed, I guess it was a question about not having the CPU to fit it all.
And indeed, the ANP is the most expensive module on that ship as it doesn't have officer EANM or officer magstab.

Very nice vid...I was wondering a while why u didnt deagress and dock..but then I figured out u prob didnt have docking range at a hostile station..lol.
those officer anp is indeed very hard to get, and officer damage mods isnt near as expesive(unless u going chelms or so(got mine tuvans for 200.)
and about the fighting in Alperina was specially funny to watch since I used to fly ith those ppl (half of them, the other half was hostile...but they must have hated u that much, that they putted down their fighting between em for while..lol)
ps: I got a gotan large rep for sale....if u wanna replace the TS repper with a bether one:P

I watched all three in the series today, and it's pretty damn good...
You started the series with some ganks, but lately it's been you on the side with fewer numbers, and the death of the vindicator was really cool to watch...
Just one bit of critisism, most of the text you put up disappears way too fast, I have to keep pausing the video to read what you've written... Though that might just be because I'm a slow reader...
I like the way you called your medium can '<3 Farjung' as well... He's the one that inspired me to use a can in a lot of my setups! :)

Yes this video is great, i think it was the part of movie to blow up his vindi to make a better impression . Don't think vindi is unbreakable, no one made a video with othere races faction ships,for example Nightmare or Rattlesnake, all fited with factiom mods, who knows...
No one mention that all these ships wich destoyed him in o-2, was t1 ships fited with t1 mods mostly no named, this battle could end much much faster, if all these ships had fited t2 weapons.

I was present for the battle where Farjung lost his ledgendary Vindi on his last day in the MC. I'm glad that Phoenus managed to catch his monster's final moments on film. I logged in and saw the loss on the KB and groaned... until I heard how it happened.
By far the best vid in the series, Pony. I still love Ginger hitting the self-destruct button.

When you're flying a 3 Billon ISK ship you don't always take the same kinda risks you might take if you were just flying a 200 Mil BS. It's better to take down what you can and GTFO when the opertunity comes, than to get greedy for more killmails and put yourself in a situation where you can't get out and loose your investment.
Yeah its frustrating when that Faction BS kill gets away from you, I know. I've had the same thing happen to me a number of times, but put yourself in the pilots shoes and i'd bet you'd do the same.

EVE favours the bold - engaging a Macherial on a gate, in lowsec, knowing that there were 6 of you nearby.
EVE does not favour the stupid - sticking around to fight multiple Battlecruisers + Tempest afterwards.
You pick what fights you can, some you lose, some you win - you learn very quickly to not stick around if the winds change against you

Took a while to download this movie, it's huge.
On the other hand, it was worth it.
Good fight, you managed to pull back a couple of times before you got popped (Which was, lets be honest here, the highlight of the movie).
All in all, good stuff as always, I enjoy watching your movies. This one definately is one of the better ones on these forums. :)

I partially endorse this video.
I shall start with the negatives: the sound quality of the first and second song is very poor and you began to lose my interest near the end. Also your use of widescreen to allow forum whoring does not please me sir.
On the positive side the Loxy intro is good and the use of the target pane is a good idea, though the text looks really blurry. Choice in music is very good. The fights themselves were a mixture of dull and interesting but mainly on the interesting. This is of course not your fault as eve is as dull as dry bread.
Overall I found it a mostly entertaining use of 22 minutes of my life, though it in no way rekindles any desire in me playing eve.

Very nice vid, Ka'lorn. Not that it was your fault, but many of those guys fought like they just entered their first ship. Maybe they just did the ultimate failure of underestimating the situation. Nonetheless, the first fight was intense and you kept your cool.
Not really on par with Farjung, but very good nonetheless.
PS maybe its taken out of context, but I didn't like the fact that you (semi?)smacked.

Ok so you make a plan to get things aggroed on station then get a carrier to warp in and capital remote rep you, however, an arazu damps the carrier and therefore you lose, is that correct? Because that sounds like the standard MC dont fight if there's an actual fight. If you had gone into that with no carrier support waiting to get in and save you, sure, pretty nice try and good fight.
As it was then it was pretty lame, especially the "WHEN THE DICTOR BUBBLE WENT DOWN I KNEW IT WAS DO OR DIE!" or something, you weren't even tackled. Could have just MWD'ed away. I can't say much about the rest since it's mostly forgotten, but when you yourself are chatting in local and stuff then you must see that it's probably not that intesting for others to watch.

Yeah, I love solo Blaster vids.
Your series has been great fun, I have seen you have taken some flak for some of it being against empire n00bs and blah blah so what, people to said some things are a bit dull but to be honest letÆs get real eve is quite boring when you think about it: no aiming, no subsystem targeting, the only real COMBAT skills once engaged with a target are cap injecting at the right time and micromanaging drones and knowing when to de-aggress and run. This tends to make poor spectating. As long as this insipidness is covered up with metal music of some sort and a factionship is involved I am very happy To be honest ANY sort of solo vid series even if itÆs just NPCer ganks is far better than fleet rubbish that seemed to dominate months back. I really donÆt care to see laggy vids about 100Æs of ships target one and move down a target list. (I hope stealth bombers aswell as the already deployed Dday weapons put an end to this ôfleetö nonsense)
I recommend watching this. Just enjoy it for what it is. If you hate blasterthrons and hate things like wave of mutilation and other similar vids by people like Dave Telushi? This is not for you. There are some good ôoverlay offö and plenty of fleet crap videos out there. If like me you love anything 1v1 1v2 based then DL NOW!
The comment "for all who say the MC don't fight take your leave" that was funny. You had carriers and a decent gang blob nearby I am sure 9 days out of 10 the carrier would have remote repped you and you would have won such is the organisation of the MC and there hardcore players. The comment suggests you went in like a lone gunstar hero which was certainly not the case. I am typically terrified of engaging the MC just because you have the patience of angels to camp behind a gate waiting to sucker someone into aggression then gank. This makes you Phenous? and your MC ôhome-boysö very good in the end I guess, but don't give me the gunstar hero line of staying to fight the hard fight, John McLainÆs you guys are not!
Love the series; I had a dream about those Core-X reppers. (No really) Props for going into combat with such an expensive ship and even bigger props if that ISK was hard won and not off a lucky T2 BPO win.

Couple of points.
I was engaged by an Aeon and a vindicator.Aeon being an invunerable mothership in low sec and was only caught out cause of a log off trap and a scout who had no mic and I didnt notice him typing in channel.
If u notice the bs armor u would see that despite being attacked by a number of my fighter and other drones he never reps hismelf once but miraculously manages to remain at 100% armor the whole time.
At that point I knew there was no escape and slef destructed the carrier in order to ensure no loot fell into enemy hands.My one mistake in this fight was not to log off as soon as I had iussed the self destruct order so I could have got my pod away.
I was in fact podded in one activation of a 3 bill isk smartbomb.
Such lame tactics and multi bill isk fittings are the only way to kill me....

Great vid lub it, but as someone pointed out in this thread the opposition wasn't all that great. As we know initialy - before (and if) the rem repping kicks in from a carrier - a vindi relies on it's cap. While trying to gank a vindi with that many ships in stead of everybody doing there own thing maybe do a coordinated effort and throw in some serious neuting (and ew if you insist) and you will not be working against a dual faction rep. An epic fight like that could just a well been an epic horrible gank, but like with most fights know your enemy and our vindi pilot and friends apparently knows them
The vid is a def keeper tho and am looking forward for the next.

Erm yeah. Ginger. gutted. Carriers are a little tacky. I duno why you don'y camp in moros you should be able to get blasterthron DPS just from drones. You can then surely seige mode and log... (someone correct me if that would not work.)
You must admitt they did sucker you, with just 2 ships. All you really need or needed there was a Rook (assuming the mothership had no distrupter, can't be arsed to watch again to check) or something and you could have just warped. You could have offered someone in local the chance to make 300m saving you.... I heard you had a standby dread alt for these very occasions clearly you don't in rancer at least.
I am not gonna flame the MC just yet for using a log on trap, need see some proof of that before I switch on the smack.
What you should do is make a vid ginger try and prove something to your detracters, IF indeed the MC did use a logon trap and you could post a fraps of this with some metal in the background then it would be some egg on their faces.
This is an unlrealated question to Vindication 3, where are you getting all the isk from for your infinitate capital losses. Looking at your sig (at the time I read it) your latest kill was a rifter by someone called "mule Boy5" I doubt he had a 30% deadspace ENAM on so seriously where does all this wasted isk come from? Please, please tell me you don't fund this out of your own pocket via ebay, seriously mate life is too short to spend real money buying stuff for pretend games. Save that cash and use it to scam birds into bed from your local, or save up for your dream holiday etc...
Oh yeah, the first person to do a Navy Megathron Federate video is going to get more rimmed that farjung ever was, I look forward to it whoever, I brushed my teeth and am waiting:)

Log on trap, not really.
I was logged off there in my Aeon from before.
Phoe spotted Ginger camping in that system, so I log on my Aeon and warp to the gate (an 80 AU warp I might add).
I land next to Ginger (about 10k away from him I think) and lock and scramble/web him.
The moment I got a point on him I've been in local for more than 3 minutes, mind. :) Then when I land the point, Phoenus jumps in with his Vindi, warps about 80 AU to that gate and starts attacking Ginger as well.
Not entirely true how this constitutes a log on "trap". He had ample of time to spot me in local, he could've seen me on max range scan for 15 seconds until I entered his grid AND I was the one landing the first tackle in a frigging Mother ship. :)

hmmm so your mothership just happend to be in that system, with you in it, and it was just damn handy for phenous that you where there. Comon you had a mothership logged off with yourself at the helm in rancer to try get some pirates maybe not ginger in paricular but to get some gate campers. Thats fair enough imo.
But still, I think what ginger says about it being a log on trap from his perspective does stick. I am deducting -2% valour from my opinons of you now... It made a good little fraps in the end.

Waagaa logged off in that system some 3.5 hours prior. I was passing through on the usual patrol of the nearby lowsec systems, and spotted Ginger in local. Asking idly where Waagaa was in MSN, he replied 'logged off in (Otou)'. My response was 'Oh, Ginger's in local here, fancy logging in'?
Ginger had ample warning to warp out - the fact that he was not even aligned to a celestrial object (there is a station in system), is not our fault.
To quote a friend: 'If you have big guns, use them', or 'Why bring a Knife to a Gunfight'? We were lucky - hopefully we'll have equally as much luck the next time we go to play

What i find really hilarious - other than his own admition that he would gladly log off rather than loose his pod - Was the fact that ginger never even thought: "hmm, with these resists and 100k+ of armor (maybe even a damage control), why don't i just sit here and take a beating while throwing loads of cheap assed drones at the BS to keep his blasters off me, meanwhile i'll drop a cyno with an alt and get the smeg outta here"
Seems you can buy everything except common sense these days

I think it`s funny that IAC is criticising how other people fight.
Good fights are hard to come by these days, so the best one can hope for is good looking ganks

Please Mr Outbreak. You are another "Good" eve corperation, In that your roaming gangs always have a heavy EW and Nannoship/NOS element. My mind can hardly imagine you guys ever aggressing without a without EW/damp nano curse.
This fact makes you smarter than me (exploiting the rampent NOS overpower) makes you tactically better than me, gives you more kills than me..... but when it comes to honour, valour and the potential enjoyment of fights....well I guess you understand. I will be fair and say in the grand scheme of things you guys are by no way near the worse.
Props to the toxic few who I have seen who are brave enough to leave utopia solo.

Awesome fights, nuff said. The first fight was epic, and extra lols @ the last fight
From a video perspective though, lacking in editing ie: randering, effects, noise, transitions, overlays etc.. and i found the sound to be a bit tinny, low bitrate? :/ But that aside, from a pvp perspective alone, a very enjoyable vid. Kudos to you and MC.

Really enjoyed this movie.
The first scene is well-planned, with that break and the text, everyone was suspecting your death at that time I guess :)
Well, 30 hienas are able to kill the lion. Besides, I bet if cap boosters didn't finish you'd eat rest of them.
BTW. Blue drones in first fight were armor maintance bots? Or just regular combat drones ?

The drones were fighters, however after the first kill (Megathron), the Carrier was unable to direct them to another target (dampened).

I gave it a 7/10. I thought the first fight was great but you hicced up a few times and forgot to maintain your modules. My main bone to pick is the music. I've been watching PvP videos of different MMO's since 2001 and this one has by far the worst musical soundtrack. That's just my opinion, however, and I'm sure someone out there liked it. The editing was pretty good and overall I liked it.
