As many of the Sani Sabik core teachings start with the "forbidden knowledge" of the Takmahl many centuries ago. I found myself wondering just how old the Takmahl were.
They were conquered by the Amarr, like most races were of the day. Perhaps even a few enslaved it is our custom to do so.
Yet from what we know of them; they an ancient race. And that before our conquest they having a rich history in their small pocket of space.
I was first exposed to this about stone whose language had no spoken component which intrigued an old teacher of mine.
However my current journey brought me to a Matari who seemed to be doing her best exposing the ancient of customs of Talocan. It was from this discussion that she mentioned the possibility that during their journeys, the Talocan may have set upon the surface of ancient Amarr (or Athras as it was known in those days).
These stories speak of Seraphs who descended from the heavens and were embraced as "Messengers from God." While thelogians will not dispute the validity of the point. I could be seen as one of the many sparks in the creation of what would be "the Chosen" or the Amarr.
It makes sense that the Talocan, a migratory race would touch on every civilization at the time time. The Takmahl were certainly around at that time.
That being said I would certainly love to see the current theories (I am still a little out of touch with a decade long pod nap) and hopefully like minds.
There might be a theory lost in the jigsaw puzzle of the past that will help us with Drifter and Jovian issues. |

I think you have that backwards. All the research I have seen about them indicates they used to be part of the empire and were exiled from it for their beliefs.
Granted I am merely a amateur student of ancient history and comparative religion and so might be mistaken.

Yes there are many races who are part of the Empire. I do believe the most common practice would be that of conquest. But it was from the Takmahl.
There is even a rumor that the Blood Raiders are the degenerated descendants of the Takmalh. Nothing substantiated of course and having never met either formally; something I cannot verify personally.
But what I am concerned with the stories of Takmahl and Talocan interaction as have stories from both Scriptures and Apocrypha that talk about Seraphim which could be symbolic for the Talocan's visits to Amarr Space.

Sefrim, as they are called, visited Amarr around Amash-Akura reigns. The reclaiming, time when sani-sabik branch of Amarr religion was developed, was a lot later, few thousand years later. Sani-sabik were people who, at the time when Amarr started to fly cryo ships, escaped to Araz and they became known as Takmahl. Who knows if they had any contacts with Talocan, I think they may have been infiltrated without even knowing it. But there is no proof that Takmahl had extensive contacts with Talocans.
Sefrim. They are very much your candidate for spacefaring researchers or teachers, bringing some technological marvels to the less developed brethren, but still respecting the right of that civilization to decide about itself. Yes, I think they were Talocans in disguise, wearing masks. Maybe they had in fact space helmets? Maybe they were hiding something underneath, like their fairly different from other humans appearance.

Unfortunately with no direct proof of that Talocan were in fact the Seraphim of Amarr Fables.
It is possible that contact with the Talocan happened early in the history of the Takmahl Empire, thus devolving into the stories of myth. |

Are there some Takmahl stories or myths? I have only some statues I recovered from space ruins. To me they dont resemble people in masks, I think they were not Sefrim, so not Talocans.

I believe at the Imperial Museum Arcana. Not exactly a place where one of questionable scruples would be welcome.
But perhaps a polite inquiry would work.

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:
As we look for connections between the ancients. I would set a question before you that may or may not have the implications.
From the existing data we "believe' that the Talocans and the Sleepers were killed by some sort of virus. Some seem to believe that the virus could have been Jovian in origin as all Jovian suffer from this illness since ancient times.
Then we also have the curious story of the Kyonoke Pit and the Kyonoke Virus .
A virus so deadly that not even modern technology cannot do anything about it.
We know very little about Kyonoke Virus since its discovery Taisy Prime. Could this virus be the one that also took out the Talocans and the Sleepers? |
