Those are just the numbers of characters from each race, not ships flown. My char is Caldari but i'm not flying Caldari ships, i'm flying minmatar/gallente ships. As Achura has the most balanced attribute distribution, it's not a surprise to see almost everyone creating Achura alts for whatever role.

Sorry but i find Caldari ships to be ugliest looking of all. Being an engineer myself, the asymmetry of Caldari ships just dont do it for me

Symmetry is for the weak, challenge your mind.
Perhaps I should add that the caldari ships have a sense of believability to them, whereas many of the other races ships does not compute.
Dunno, it's just that i tend to find the center of gravity of an object the strongest, and for ship the safest point.
i know it doesnt make sense but it's just instinctive for me. The pilot cabins of caldari ships stick out from weirdest spots on their ships.

I'm Caldari but i have Caldari frigates at level 1 and no other caldari ships researched. As for the storyline, i am more of an Amarr, specificly Khanid, person but unfortunately Achura has best overall attributes hence my char. But as Khanid uses Caldari technology i consider myself a Khanid collaborator ;P
