Aside from our many kills of combat ships - many of which would be on the 'eve war front line' firing on a few hours after, we have killed 28 freighters that I know of. And innumerable haulers. Thats a lot of gear gone up in smoke (and a lot in our pockets YARRR)- much of it heading out to the 'eve war' (if perhaps indirectly). One particular case had a large pos and fittings in heading for a system in 0.0 . As you say - we aint often in 0.0, but we certainly did/are effecting the balance of power out there - if not in the quantifieable same way as 'who owns this sytem' 'who killed what fleet'

It's not the 900 other hostiles in the system, it's just you.

Anyway, Privateers rocked. Creative and fun adaptation to the game environment. They deserve a lot more credit then they get. They mattered a whole lot more than a bunch of chest-thumping 0.0 small fry like to think.
Bad form on your part, NUTS may be a small and in your book a irrelevant alliance. But there is no need to start flame bait there. I will say this, we are still here. There were many alliances that started when we did and died quick, many of which seem to have held more promise.

That is hitting the nail on the head there.
Its all good though, I know a good fight or two will come. It seems my m8's lost a bit more though so far then what we have killed. Hope to turn that around on this campaign. http://kb.eve-nuts.com

I wonder why the hate towards Privateers Alliance excists. Every where we go we get smacked. Noone likes us, only the people that arent into alliance affairs.
So many war decs, yet noone is able to demolish the Privateers. Pretty much the opposite in fact, I believe all Privateers are having a blast. And if everyone posts their losses as they should, then Privateers are having a blast with a hell of a kill ratio!

We had 2 days of the fun but sadly had to pull out to attend to corp business, and boy we are gutted! At first it was impossible to move with 28 hostiles in Hek and many of them camping the station. Now I dont care what anyone says about fighting against all odds, but when you're in a 300mio ISK BS and there's 8 or 9 camping your station, quite simply put, if you launch knowing this your either stupid, rich, or both!
Once we did get out, it was fantastic fun. Just a shame that some of the 28+ hostiles called the 2 Privs in the system at the time 'cowards' for not launching lol.
Anyway, its been great flying in the Privs, and we're looking forward to being part of the new structure!

Beacause the kills i've personally been involved with, or witnessed in the last few days, aren't on your boards? at least 4. though they DID manage to post my loss-mail . you got it at least HALF right. I submit to you though, that your killboard stats will be a joke, at best, at the end of this week. and certainly shouldn't be used as a bragging right. |

We took a little roaming squad yesterday as PA asked everyone to bring it. We roamed around in the high sec systems where we thought we would find them and after 1h roaming around we finally found a lilttle gatecamp. We killed the domi and the rest warped off but yeah in this case we had more ships than them so it was not a biggie.
We continued our trip through empire for another 1.5h hoping they would gather a nice fleet and try to gank us but during that time we only saw some lonely PA pilots docked in various systems. With the current lag in Jita we skipped that system which lead to the following question to the mighty PA: Where are you guys? Are the whole alliance camping Jita or where can we find you if you really want a nice fight?

whether you post them or not is entirely your choice. but don't flout such impressive stats, knowing they aren't even vaguely accurate. |

Edited by: Amalas on 26/04/2007 10:24:31 The first few days have been fun, and my corp and I have managed a fair few kills. We've also spent a lot of time dodging the many gank gangs that have been sent after us, many of which are unfortunately to large for us to take on.
Thanks for bringing it and I look forward to more fights in around seven hours (work FTL! I really should pull a sicky tommorrow!!)
In Jita, ganking your haulers.

Edited by: Aquidus Nefron on 26/04/2007 11:21:43 I got on them last war for not posting losses. I'd be in a war, lose a couple ships, and take a couple ships, only to see the my losses posted, not theirs. So posting ur kills/losses priv is pointless.
Oh, I forgot to say, the reason i was given, as to why the losses arn't posted, i was told that withen privs, losses are joked about, and anyone that has a loss, and posted it, is made fun of.

Personally I post all kills and all losses although I'm sure there are people not posting losses. Most alliances have a few like this, it's certainly not only PRIVS although I guess the problem maybe worse due to the free nature of the alliance.
I suppose it depends on what people joined PRIVS for, some are killmail *****s and losses deflate their epeens. I joined for some fun fights and losing can be fun to!!

The biggest problem we (Xizor) found is that due to the huge number of hostiles its very difficult to even get to where a gang might be forming. Many of us get locked down unable to move to a position were we can join up with others. Most of the main routes are camped. I would have loved to have gotten a PA fleet together, but reality makes it difficult. In the end we had to resort to hit and run type tactics and we still lost 3 ships in one night to superior numbers. Good fun though.

RE Killboard:
Our members are not required to do anything but not greig a corpie - this [plicy has also stood with the killboard. Many do not post at all. Our director chooses not to post any kills or losses (unless someone in a gang he is in wants it)for example - on the other hand many post religiously.Me personanly - i post em in bulk everynow and then.
When looking at our killboard - I only really look at the amount of people we kill - which is huge

One of the flip sides of not having some nerd ordering you around and when and whether to post your losses is that you also dont get taxed, asked to create lag bombs, spend your paid-for eve time trying to get through gates and otherwise performing favours for self important Allinace big wigs who need fame/recognition or honour from a MMORPG to compensate for RL shortcomings.
This is a game that we in PA play for fun. We dont do it to demonstrate virual cahones or recieve binary adulation. As such neither Le Skunk or anyone else will be forcing people to post losses (Read ship setups - locations - Gang compositions) untill the person who laid the final blow decides to.
That said I posted all my loses except a borg loss due to stupidity, separate from any war decs.
CCP must decide how they want EVE to progress now, is there a place for non-capital fleet warfare in eve? Or do we all have to perform felatio on a few CEO's in order to experience the game as it was intended to be?
- These are my words only etc I don't represent PA, Sicarri or even any of my alts

Admittedly, you're having a field day this week. and I'm enjoying being a part of it. I just feel gloating over ratio's is a little ridiculous, especially from a killboard that doesn't represent anything close to the real figures :P Like i said, nobody forces you boys to post, so be it. Most alliances etc post kills to get some kind of idea of how a conflict is progressing, and I recognise the need for that. (ignoring completely the chestbeating and competition bragging rights involved.)
Having had my little whinge about the killboard bragging , I gotta say, you boys/girls have some of the best attitudes towards this game, pure fun, smacktalk or no smacktalk. and I challenged one of your members to break the 50,000 kills mark this week. now THAT would be impressive. (he seemed keen ) |
