Hi. I'm a returning player to Eve, and I would like to have some inputs, fits & your experiences on a Level 1-3 Mission set-up for some Amarr ships. Missions to be low levelled for now as I will prefer to fly solo and learn how to fly again before moving back into Lvl 4's & FW and spend the bigger ISK later.
I've got about 98 million SP total, I can use Sml/Med/Lrg Lasers with all sizes T2 Pulse, but no T2 Beams and my Armor skills are all 5 except remote rep & cap remote rep. So most fits I would imagine I can keep stable enough for LVL 1 - 3's.
Also appreciated, any info on where to go to find ship FIts online & if EFT still works with current eve version?
Thanks for your help, Nessy, o7 |

You need to cross-train Caldari for PVE.
level 1 - Corax level 2 - Caracal level 3 - Drake level 4 - Tengu

"need to cross-train Caldari" lol no. you have enough SP that you will warp into a lv1-3 and just look at stuff and it will explode.
lv1 I'd go with a beam coercer, probably don't want to group your guns as pretty sure most of the lv1 frigs will die to one shot unless you are running long range ammo. The "hard" ones will take a volley.
lv2s I like the omen, just kite out a bit and blap everything as it flies at you with no transversal.
lv3s Harbinger or Legion should make quick work. Warp in blap stuff, warp out. With high skills you can fit pretty much every slot on a t3c for gank and warp speed, If you have the skills for t2 pulse I assume you can probably just inject medium beam spec, they make it easier to train gun skills at some point.
EFT is in the ships and mods forum, however it hasn't been updated in a while. It is close enough on most things that I'm still using it. the in game simulation fitting tool is pretty decent. Pyfa (python fitting assistant) seems to be current and even has the ability to do structure fits. there is also https://o.smium.org/ which is a web based fitting tool.

Level 1's are obnoxiously easy, so anything will do. T1 or T2, frigate or destroyer, you're going to burn through. If you want faceroll easy the confessor will work.
For level 2 and 3 you may as well use the same ship. I like to have a set of drone so I can clear ewar or tackle, but they're not necessary. I prefer an absolution, but a devoter works well. If you don't have the money for either of those, a navy omen or a Harbinger will work as well. Most of those missions are really easy regardless. |

Amarr ships will be fine.
Decide what weapon you prefer to use - Drones - Lazersofdoom!! - Missiles
Amarr now get a few non-laser options in some hull classes.
Any standard hull thats intended role is combat will be fine L1 Mission - Frigate or Destroyer L2 Mission - Destroyer or Cruiser L3 Mission - Cruiser or Battlecruiser
use eve-survival to get info on mission npc damage types fit the appropriate tank to counter that damage
use the role bonus on the hull as a guide on how to fit it if it gives +damage to medium lasers and a bonus to armour resistances fit medium lasers and armour tank it that level of simplicity hasn't changed at all

I had actually assumed this was a troll-post. 98M skillpoints and can't put together a frigate for a L1 mission?

Under Amarr you have two main tech I ship progression paths. I am more partial to the drone path than the lazor path. For PVE drones are better simply because you can tailor your damage to rat weaknesses. With lazors you will have to decline any angel missions. But lasers can be satisfying visually.
Drones : Tormentor or Dragoon LVL I, Arbitrator LVL II, Prophecy LVL III, Armageddon LVL IV
Lasers : Punisher or Coercer LVL I, Omen or Maller LVL II, Harbinger LVL III, Apocalypse LVL IV
The drone line will also present future pvp possibilities as fleets often like the neuting bonuses on the Dragoon and Geddon, or the ewar for the Arby.
Regardless, there comes a time when you have almost all the ships trained and you can choose the best tool for the job, whatever race it may be.
CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting-áoff button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

Level I and level II blitzing: Hands down, grab a sniper destroyer.
Use long range guns, low slot damage booster, tracking computer and an AB. 99% of everything a level 1 or 2 will throw at you are frigates that cannot do damage past 10 km. So set your range to around 15+++ and set your guns into two groups. Don't bother fitting a tank. You are a range tank, and will instapop nearly everything in a single half volley.
Get destroyers at IV, and your gunnery support skills to III and you will do just fine. Work on your navigation and cap skills.
The only time you need to tank a level 1 or 2 mission is when there are a lot of missile rats (Most notably anti- Caldari faction missions). Fly manual to keep safe range distance and go pew pew... blitz those storyline missions to get into level III's.
At level III you will need to fit a tank, but keep with the sniper doctrine and move up to medium guns. Make sure you are Hull IV, weapon Systems IV, Gunnery Support Skills IV before stepping off. A three slot tank (one active repper, two mission specific hardeners) and again an AB, damage mod and tracking computers. This time you want to fight around 30-40km. Super safe and effective, as you are still mostly blowing up frigates with the occasional cruiser.
Brawling fits are dangerious and slow when grinding the missions. If you think you need to fit a large plate on your ship - your whole fit is fail and badly needs to be rethought. That means you are either hanging out too deep inside of agro, or your effective DPS on target is WAY to low. Cap boosters are NOT a bad idea for Amar Active Repping Cruisers.
GL, fly dangerously.

I was pretty unfortunate to have been in corps prior where ship fittings were given out and uniform, I've never experimented on my own accord and thus suffer from a lack of understanding the basics & creativity.
I very much loved Caldari once, I still have a L4 Tengu in Caldari space waiting. But as they say, Only fly what you can afford to lose. I find myself wary of my own skills as a pilot and the Tengu shall remain an asset until I'm Confident once again, Starting from the bottom with Amarr shall serve this learning curve good enough.

I've since worked out most Amarr have been somewhat range by looking at basic fits for PVE, so ive made Small & Med Beam Spec to III. A T3, again, is something a bit to rich for me to roll the dice on my own skillset so far. a BC with tank, possibly.
Also Thankyou for all your inputs everybody, I appreciate the resources supplied and time you've taken to reply.
