I may be wrong here as well but using T2 launchers gives an additional 2% rof per lvl of Torp spec as in CM spec even with T1 ammo and has the same fitting requirements as an Arbalest launcher if memory serves me correctly so thats another bonus

I love my T2 torp Lonchers and Javs are good for Smaller ships but the other T2 missiles are a Joke conpared to the other Races and T2 ammo thay are the Only T2 ammo you have to put mods on to make Efective for BS sized Ships i have over 6 mill SP in missiles and my advice is Trane thim to 5 and use standerd Torps untell we can get a Beter T2 torpedo all other races dont need a Extra mod and Skill to make the T2 ammo Efective and that mod is going into a Mid slot witch drops you out of PVP unless you have suport ship for Scrambling

t2 launchers, Caldari Navy torps.
In my opinion it's best not to bother using t2 torps unless you have a very specific tactic in mind or fore knowledge of exactly what you will be fighting.
You can carry multiple sets, but generally I'd rather use my cargo bay to carry multiple damage types and cap boosters.
t2 launchers are still well worth training both for the option of using t2 missiles in those certain situations (assaulting a capital ship is one example) and for the added DPS otherwise only attainable by fitting highly expensive faction launchers.

T2 torps - no. T2 launchers for 5% extra damage and 8% better ROF with spec skill at 4 - yes.

T2 Javelin Torps are still moderately useful, Rage have been obsoleted by Faction Torps.
EVE Online: a cold, cruel world where (RL-)rich people replace their losses with GTCs sold to poor students who need to farm ISK to afford their play time ...

Getting access to the torp spec skill is the only reason for torps 5 IMO. Rage torps are pants, just use faction. If i were to use Rage Torps instead of Caldari Navy ones in my phoon, I would do a max of 13 more DPS, and get all the disadvantages of the T2 missle.
In fact all close range t2 ammo has been made obselete by faction high damage ammo IMO. Minimal DPS decrease without the nerf ftw.
Close range T2 ammo needs a buff (long range still pwns).
