Greetings intrepid testers!
Team Five 0 have some lovely things for you for the upcoming release (Currently scheduled for March). We'd highly appreciate it if anyone interested in the changes please go try them out on our test server Singularity, let us know what you think and submit bug reports for any problems that occur. LetGÇÖs get into it.
Structures
- Repair is now available as a standard NPC service in all Upwell structures. This service is provided free of charge to anyone who has access to the Structure. Enjoy!
- Undocking from a Upwell Structure with a session change timer will now queue and then action the undock once the timer has expired (As it currently works in a station).
Drones
- Increased the maximum possible drone interaction range from 250km to 500km to allow drones to be used more effectively against XL structures (This has no effect on the range a target must be from the controlling ship).
- We've made some changes to assignable shortcuts for drone actions:
- Added a Launch Drones shortcut: By default this will act like right clicking on GÇ£Drones in BayGÇ¥ and selecting Launch Drones, but you can now also select a favorite drone group to be the default target for this shortcut. - Expanded the GÇ£Engage DronesGÇ¥ shortcut to also give the GÇ£Mine RepeatedlyGÇ¥ command to any mining drones.
Fighters
- Show info windows for fighter squadrons now correctly display their skill and module adjusted values.
- Fighter tooltips have been drastically expanded with many additional pieces of useful information.
- The fitting window now estimates the best potential DPS from loaded fighter squadrons. (The dps tooltip breaks down the damage coming from different abilities).
- Relaxed the throttling on giving orders to Fighter Squadrons. This should result in less occurrences of busy squadrons during high APM usage.
- Added assignable shortcuts for various fighter actions (These are unassigned by default but can be set up in the Esc menu):
-Launch all Fighters -Open Fighter Bay -Select All Fighters -Deselect All Fighters -Launch All Fighters -Recall All Fighters -Launch Selected Fighters -Recall Selected Fighters -Toggle Selection of Tube 1-5 -Toggle Selection of Ship
ThatGÇÖs all for now! We have various bug fixes that will be included in the patch notes when they are published and we'll add to the above list if anything else makes it into the release from us.

Fantastic changes:
Two questions for someone who won't be able to go test this for a day or two because of work.
- 500KM range increase - Am I correct in assuming this also affects the reconnect to lost drones?
- Launch Drone Shortcut - Is the favorite group selected in the drone window itself or in the options? Also, does this "favorite" group get saved by ship or is it the same for all ships?
What I mean by that last question was: I am in a tristen with favorite group of warriors. I switch to a myrm and set my favorite group to hammerheads. When I get back in the same tristen (it did not die) will the favorite group still be the warriors from before or will it error because no hammerheads?
Yes I am aware this could (possibly) be avoided by having a group called "favorite" but cannot recall if this will play nicely with different drone types. |

Looks good! Especially like being able to click the repair button now. Hopefully my damaged drones will now be repaired in J-Space without having to fiddle with the tethering repair mechanics. :P

Will be nice to be able to just dock and fix stuff! |

As much as I love this change, why did this take almost 3 months to implement? We've been telling you this needed to be added before the Rorqual changes even went live.

Going to throw one in the "please make this per-ship" column for feedback. I personally group my drones by type rather than having a group labeled "Drones I mostly used" or something like that, so having a 'favorite group' won't help me a ton when I swap between ships and I'll likely forget to change it. |

We should be able to charge for this service like NPC stations. But have it as a flat ISK amount, just like offices!

Any chance of the drone UI getting a redesign? Anything that makes it less cumbersome to use would be great. Also, I know this is a small thing, but could we at least have orbiting drones to face their target? They all have fixed weapons pointing forward, so seeing them shoot to the side breaks muh immersion.
Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

If I fly a Gila my normal drones will be different than if I fly a Rattlesnake, which will be different than an Ishtar or Stratios, etc. I group drones by the type, i.e. a Warriors group for Warrior IIs, a Geckos group for Geckos, or a Mixed group for a Nightmare's set of a Gecko, a medium, and 3 lights. Even for ships that can use the same types of drones I often have different primary sets based on the hull, for example I might put both heavies and sentries in a Dominix or Rattlesnake, but I'd use the sentries more often in the Dominix and the heavies more often in the Rattlesnake due to the hull bonuses and uses. |

Per ship-type, please? The preferred drones flying a Domi are not the same as the preferred drones flying a Gila, are not the same as the preferred drones flying a Procurer.
