Well i noticed and interesting video in my library that was called solo piracy blasterthron made by Janney Jill link: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=383382
Totally awesome video but she has 0 things in low slots which are visible. The video clearly shows that there is tank and/or plates or something in the lows. My question is what could a possible setup like that contain in lows -> amazing fit

Edited by: Dearwin on 27/04/2007 23:42:39 Becuase of the CPU eating of T2 guns, most Blasterthron pilots fit a EAN based tank, sometimes with a plate. Since Im at work and cant watch the vid, I will take a guess and say 1 passive EX, 2 EAN and a plate, for tank. But this is a really easy way to maintain a strong tank despite the problems of fitting a Blasterthron. *edit for spelling*

I'm not going to give away JJs full fit (he doesn't play any more but it would be a bit disrespectful of me to go spamming his setups all over the place), but I'll give you a few pointers.
- Nothing is covered up or hidden with editing of the footage, all the low-slot mods are passive. (pretty obvious one there) - There are no Armor reps on that particular fitting. (again, duh) - The guns are Tech 2 Neutron blasters. - There are 3 Mag stabs in the Lows.
The trick with the setup is not tank, you simply rely on the sheer amount of damage your guns do to kill your target before they can kill you - a strategy that is often very effective (but sometimes fails miserably ) -----

The first two yeh pretty much a given and the third you see on the vid. Thx for the last point but i really donŠt get how his passive fit lasts so long that he can kill a freighter and a carrier (i think). Seriously awesome fit and well thought out by him canŠt help but smile watching the vid.

Nah he died to the Carrier, you see it in the first clip.
Neutrons + Void + Mag Stabs + T2 Heavy drones pushes, if not passes 1000 DPS ( = ouch). A Freighter has a lot of HP, but it has only base resists and no reps, in reality they go down pretty fast.
Another hint: There are 4 remaining lows, 2 of one mod, 2 of another. They are tank mods . -----

jj also strapped his t2 balls to the ship, so unless you can pry them from his corpse you dont get the real setup.

If you're thinking slave set, you better be thinking faction/officer gear too.
With a slave set and some other nice implants you might even consider doing 3x 1600 rolled and a single faction EANP (besides the 3 uber mag stabs)..
it ain't cheap and you might aswell go for a vindicator...

i have used a similar fitting before.
lows = 4 x 1600mm RT plates, 3 mag stab II's
7 neutron II's in the highs.
2 armor hp rigs and my reasonably expensive implants give me well over 50k armor hp and around 1000 dps with 5 berserker II's as well. which means that it takes a helluva long time for them to kill you and in the mean time they are long dead.
i tend to prefer at least 1 repper these days but it can work nicely.

Not quite on OP`s question, but rather ask here then create a thread, since its also relates to Blasterthron.
As I got it, you get your meds as of: MWD/Web/Disruptor/Cap Booster.
Now, how do you make it solo without any sensor booster? You cant lock anything lower then BC and even then you can just hope that target wont get the idea of 'omg no way' and warps out? Drop a cap booster? Web? ---
