this is the blood raider/angel one , so I go in to first room and notice a mix of both factions and manage to get rid of them eventually, and after the clean up(go dock, bring salvager, dock, back to raven) I have to decide which gate to go through blood raider or angel gate?
I go through blood gate, mistake As soon as I jump in ALL OF THEM aggro me and straight away I decide I best line up to get out, and then the dreaded realisation that I am scambled
so guys, some advice needed I used a raven with T2 fittings ,I have no faction stuff EM resist was at 89% I left drones in bay and I didn't aggro them is it do able with my setup or do I need faction setup and a navy raven ?
p.s. I got most of my fittings back as I bookmarked my death and was suprised I could go back later to pick my stuff up as it was in deadspace

http://home.broadpark.no/~tijohann/eve/missions/worldscollidebran4.html Fit 2 sensor boosters, fit AB, get out to max cruiser-missile-range, pick off scramblers first. This is if they dont all aggro you when you enter that is = if they only aggrod you due to you whipping out the drone-monsters Another way is to go in with crazy-tanked Drake that can tank the whole room and pick of the small stuff, then go back with a raven again. Well just read the description on that link and decide for yourself.
In the future, just decline that mission like most others do

just so you know, I warped in and immediately I got targeted,my drones were not out, and I didn't target anyone took me less than 10 seconds to decide to get out but too late moving away was not an option(due to the mass aggro and my death in less than 30 secs) fitting sensor boosters was not an option either

Then the question is: Risk a 200 million max-pumped drake(with the rigs) or take the standing-hit =P The other room dish out crazy ammounts of explosive damage instead. Need faction-stuff for sure :/

I was able to do this mission in a Raven with t2 fittings, but took the angel path. Its much easier to tank explosive dmg than em/th. Even so with 90%+ resists it was pretty hard at some point when i had 5 1m BS shooting at me. Didn't accept the mission after i did it then I only do missions to fund my pvp ships, so i don't wanna invest billions in faction fittings, neither do i want to get my Raven blown up in one of the hard missions just because i feel like i want a challenge. I never accept EA, WC and the Damsel one. Better safe than sorry i say

Where i pvp is my business and its not what this topic is about anyway. As for "ern"ing 4-5 times more in 0.0 ratting, i must say its BS. Maybe if you farm 10/10 or something or you have no clue how much you make doing missions.

As last poster stated generally you do not need 3-5 times more than missions in 0.0 ratting. Well unless you dont have social skills, no idea what waits you in missions and you are using subpar equipment for missions - 0.0 is easier (to tank).
Very good 0.0 (say -0.7 or below) with reasonable setup (approx 200 mil setup, T2) will earn you approx 1.5 to 2 times more on average than good skills and equipped missionrunner (L4 qood qwuality, sec 0.5, max social skills, CNR with few faction gadegts). Depends a bit on local conditions ofc as all things Average 0.0 breaks more or less even (after you count in general 'inefficency' of 0.0 life like hostiles and stuff).

The best way to take this mission down is use a HAC or Com ship with heavy tank to kill the frigs first. Then (especially if your in a HAC) come back with the Raven and clean up the BS's. You should have a WCS on you mission ships regardless. The problem is the frigs not only scram you but web your butt down. All the ships that aggro you are doing full damage to a BS and its a LOT of damage. The HAC has great bonuses and tanks like a monster. It should be able to clean up all the frigs and then you can really get to work. There are always 2 adv. frig/interceptors. As soon as you start shooting them the whole first spawn aggro's you, it has nothing to do with drones. And ofcourse, those are the frigs you need to get rid of. If I had to do this in a Raven I'd dump all my cruise launchers and go in with 6x assault launchers and light missles for the frigs first. A buddy and I did this both in Nighthawks and it was surprizingly easy. Nighthawks may be expensive but Jesus this thread is talking about needing faction modes or a Navy Raven. A nighthawk is nothing compared to some of the suggestions I see in the thread. First time I solo'ed this I tanked the second gate with a Sacrialge. I had to warp out twice I think but I got it done.

Seems to me you killed the spies and/or the overseer. Only way you get full aggro in second room.
The solution is quite simple, ignore the frigs and the overseer, start moving out while you lock and attack the nearest group.
If you can tank them all, kill the 2 spies, the rest of the small ships doesn't scramble or web you.
Same thing on the angel side, leave spies and overseer. And you should really do both sides to get the most out of this mission.

If you just want the lp for the mission then fit a cap injected tank with an AB and run for the gates. Don't bother shooting anything unless it's a frig that's webbing you. When you reach the last stage blow up the armory and warp out, takes all of 10 mins and it's easiest to do through the Angel room.
Course if you don't get it right the first time you'll have to clear the npc's as they'll be too close for you to reach the gate in time the second time around.

This mission spanks my cheeks rosey too. The 7 to 10 nos'ing battleships that insta-agro you in the Blood Raiders room are quite nasty. Warp in, 20 seconds later no cap at all and scrambled. YAY!
This is the only Level 4 I decline every time. ---

For W/C read the discription in the mission. The agent tell you there is a NPC pirate corp that been in the area for a lot of time and an invading NPC pirate corp that come in and fight them. ALWYES go to the gate of the invading NPC corp they are the easier corp to beat and you wont get room agro with them unless you kill the wrong ships.
If i post something smart it represent my corp and alliance all other posts are my feeling/ideas only and do not represnt the rest |

Ah so they haven't fixed the heavy NOS of the NPCs. Think I'm just lucky, it seems that Guristas don't use that much EW as they did before 1.4.2. --- It have always fallen to a few to sacrifice for the good of many
