I was contemplating the programming of an EVE CCG game that could be played in the IGB, but I wished to check first on the legality of doing this, as should it get popular, I most certainly would require some donations of $$ to keep the server online and running smoothly if I have thousands of games running simultaneously.
As it is, it's a random idea I thought of while looking over my cards. I have a vague notion of how everything would work, though some details would require more intense thinking that I'm not interested in expending if I'm not allowed to do this.
As far as my ability to do it, I'm an accomplished PHP game developer and have the first true web browser based MMORPG in development at this time. Converting a card game to a minor PHP app would not be terribly difficult, it depends more on the capabilitiesies of the IGB more than anything else really.

Aint 1000s of people who play the ccg, will be even less wanting to play online.
You are better off typing up every card.. and using an already existing game.. something like magic workstation can be made to work with just about any card game out there... why reinvent the wheel?
P.S. Most likely not legal but hard to get in trouble for if you just type up some words and throw in a file for magic workstation or similar... don't charge though, or your odds of being in trouble go up.

Well, there are already several projects to play the card game over the internet. OCTGN, TableTalk (beta) and another that has not yet been named. Seeing as they all are accepted by CCP I don't think you would get into trouble. But I'm wondering if it's really necessary to make yet another tool for this...
