Planning thread for 5/5 Gathering in NYC.
I'm going to kick things off with a bar recommendation:
Why Not? 40th St & 9th Avenue.
Pros: Great bar, pool table, cheap drinks, Hot bartenders, good food in the area ($0.99 slices down the street, and atomic wings down the block)
Cons: It's a little cramped in there on the weekends, but if we start early, it shouldn't be a problem.
Ok, kids, time to step up to the plate.

I'll call Why not later today to get the heads up on any specials that they'll be doing for 5/5, and to see if we can work something out for the afternoon. Tenatively, 3pm sounds good.
Also, take note that this place is a bar, and they will most likely be checking IDs.

Doesn't seem like there is too much interest in a meet-up this weekend, maybe in a month or so.

Anywhere in NYC would be good for me, just not that weekend most of my corp are from nyc too.

In the past we have usually had the meet up on the lower east side. HOwever, its not the most easy to get to spot. Hells kitched would work fine for me. Perhaps the end of may or start of June would work.

Memorial Day weekend is not so good, either next or first weekend in June works better. If not, I will catch the next one.

I always wanted to, but never had an opportunity... for some reason, every time there was a meet up - i was out of the country.
However, if you guys decide to get together June 2nd or 3rd - i'll be around and will most definitely come up to say hi :)

Also, if anyone else has any recommendations for spots, voice 'em. If we have enough people to justify it, for instance, I can get remote lounge at the drop of a hat. Or at least have the back room held for us.

That's the weekend before July 4th. I don't have any objections, but people may be travelling, or just not want to go out that weekend. But if more people are down, let's do it.
Anyone have anything to add? Location, perhaps?
