There are a huge number of alts running around who's sole purpose is to hold money. In some cases this is to act as a front to someone's main to run a scam or a separate business, which is fine.
But, in many cases these are very literally throw-away characters being used to hold funds for some special project or the like. This seems like it would be (a) annoying as hell if you actually use your other alt slots already and (b) still a pretty arbitrary limiter on how many projects you can run.
What we need, are additional bank accounts that can be created for our characters and which hold money and track donations independently. The way it would work is simple - when you hit "Give Money" on a character or corporation, the box also gives you a choice of which account you want to give money to. There would be the standard "Main" account like we have now, as well as any additional accounts (which would be independently assigned names).
Similarly, if you had multiple accounts of your own, you would also be able to choose which account you gave money from. Buying and selling on the market would gain a drop-down box for the destination/source accounts. And finally, the wallet, when mouse-overed, would have it's tooltip list the account names and their values.

this would be great, or at least to have a secondary account you can store your isk in so it's harder to accidentally spend it on the market (I haven't done it, but apparently many others have

This very same idea has been floating around in my head so I came on forums to make my very first post (yay!), and voila I find someone's beaten me to it... 
It is so basic one wonders why it hasn't ben implemented, or why the hordes of EVE aren't screaming and pulling their hair out for it.
So yes, definitely, CCP please consider implementing MULTIPLE WALLET ACCOUNTS for single player, along the lines of corp accounts. This will encourage target-driven play and greatly simplify isk management

oOOoo, lets start credit cards too! maybe even the spam that comes with it? how about contracting loans: kill rights against those who cant pay you back?

i would just like your own hanger like the corp hanger... actually everything about the corp option to yourself, so you can split up wallet, hangers etc
