Why in gods name is the Analyze and Recover Active Probes buttons so close together!??!? I have fat fingered the recover active probes button more than i care to discuss. |

The UI is in dire need of a face lift. This, to me, is a minor issue. The biggest issue is that the stock UI looks like the inside of a 747 jet to a newbie, and there's no way to mod it to make it simpler. Add to that, after you play a while most of your screen real estate will be taken up by Overview, D-Scan, Fleet/Corp Chat, Local Chat, Drone Window, Cap Thingy, Target Boxes, and that little 3 square inches in the middle devoted to all the pretty graphics.
Every single person I've introduced to this game has been resistant to get into because of the UI.
I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs. |

So what are you saying is CCP needs to copy WoW's ui? I honestly do not see any way to make the UI simplier while retaining the same functionaility and information it current has all of which is important. |

Theres literally hundreds of writeups on the internets that will explain the workings and meanings of every part of the UI. If its too hard to understand, GTFO.

I just became dumber by the responses to this thread. This is probably the dumbest. So you what you are sayin is there is a written reason somewhere on the internet that explains why two buttons are close together? |

This is the eve online forums, any complaints will be met with extreme trolling, stupid responses, stuff that doesnt make sense, charts, graphs, and ponies.
Also saying you have fat fingers when you clearly need to use the mouse to click those buttons doesnt help your case about complaining about the UI. |

I think a better solution would be to add an analyze hotkey. I know I personally would prefer that, so that obviously means that is the correct solution. 
I do agree though, do one or the other, or switch 'reconnect to lost probes' with 'recover active probes' so at least we don't have to toss out and set up our probes again.
In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has angered numerous people for many different reasons and is widely considered as a 'bad move'. |

I downgraded to the text client. Now I got to enter commands like:
give him whiskey, marry fawn, pick up metal post or target XYZ.
It takes some time but it moves the wear down from the right mouse button to the keyboard.

Reallocate funds for Icelandic air fare to developing an integrated player input function in the UI.
Then talk directly to the customers with polls to collect demographics and game preferences

This has been the case for several years now.
The only truely sad thing is that even the UI elements introduced more recently are just as bad.
Looks like CCP are trying to keep riding the horrible UI concept until they finally decide to drive it off a cliff altogether instead of improving it gradually.

I think the issue is that the buttons do 2 things that are very contradictory.
Maybe put the buttons in the following format : Analyze - Recover Probes - Then Return Probes
I have done it a couple times by mistake while combat scanning in a rush - cursing... Combat scanning is a bit more complicated when trying to sneak up on someone so that much more a pain in the @$$ when it happens.

Also, could you add the Self destruct button so it appears in your hanger on top of the repackage button so the list reads

Dear Punkturis, you are the light in the long corridor of time singularity.
In the next major expansion it would be great to have scalable font, that does not make graphical menus wider. If you could just increase text boxes to fit all big fonts in. Make the interface windows more elastic.
So far you've done a good job with larger UI. |

since we are talking about probes, can you also make the text in the sol system map stop eating mouse events? Its annoying that you can't move a probe when text is displayed all over the arrows.
(same for drag in star map, but thats less annoying)
