i have my ARmageddon and raven..
i really much want tech 2 of those..
i heard u could upgrade ur tech 1's too tech 2
that is true right... could someone give me info please?

You can't send the geddon to the shipshop and get an upgrade no..
When the tech 2 BS BPs are relased some will be able to manufacture it. |

I'm quite sure a dev stated there will be no tech levels in ships.

cant u get an upgrade on ur tech 1 ships... if u have the BP or something.. or do u have too make a tech 2 from scratch.. then u have the tech 1 just spare..

No. Ships don't have tech levels.

Elite Frigates.
I believe they are tring to say is, for example, no MOA II or Merlin II Blueprints will ever be available. However there will be NEW ship types available that are not really any tech level, just new.

Then why were there screen shots of a Tech 2 scorpion in an alternate colour scheme from chaos on the screenshots area a while ago?

I wish i could remember where i read this. Apperantly we'll be able to not only upgrade TL1 to TL2 but construct TL2 ships from scratch. If i find the link to this info i'll post again.

I've heard both of these and I really think it's about time the Dev's cleared up exactly what Tech 1 items can be upgraded to Tech 2 and/or what Tech 1 items will have an equilivant Tech 2 item.

Yes,
I definately read an interview with one of the devs that was posted as a link on eve-i.com a month or so ago stating that there will be tech 2 ships AND you could upgrade your current ship from tech 1 to 2 with a different BP. However, since then Ive not heard anything about this....

Erm... There's a slight difference.
Consider the difference between a Caracal and a Moa, for instance.
The difference between the "new" ships will probably be just as big, not like a Moa II with 5 medium slots and 100hp extra shields.

To make T1 BS to a T2 lvl BS you need to go some steps.
For example you got a Raven and you like to upgrade to T2 lvl Raven.
First you need a Upgrade BP to Raven T2 lvl BS.
Then you need some stuff only given by Agents that is required to upgrade.
And I think you need the skills like Caldari Starship Engineering on the required lvl.
Then drop all in your manufacturing Hangar and install the BP in your Factory.
Then all the components will be mixed and you will get your TechLVL2 Raven 
And there will be no T2 Ships selled by NPC.
You always have to upgrade it to next Techlvl to get TII, TIII TIV BS.
But I don¦t know what you need to got for further Techlvls.
Do you need to T1 to T2 and then to T3, or you can upgrade from T1 to T3by one step.

okay i can go with that.. but caldari starship engenearing.. i have a corp member that has that. do i need that? i mean if he is going too produce the ship when the time comes.. dont i juust need the basic battleship skill too fly the ship?

Hmmm, I do remember a post from a Dev saying that 'tech1' ships could either be manufactured or upgraded.
He mentioned having a Vigil that you could upgrade through your agent to a 'tech2' Vigil (aka Cheetah).
Then again, this is CCP... things change.
