No neither nanophoons nore pilgrims are or ever where gank ships. There are exactly two meaning of ganking, either getting many poeple on one target blowing it out, or using a ship with high dps. Either ganking means killing something fast, not terrible slow.
Ofc maybe you meant ganking their cap ... yeah that would make sense. Not.

I fail to see how the pilgrim can even be mentioned with even a fleeting thought of the original idea in mind.
Onto the main topic, what about a gank abbadon? I've seen it get evil alphas with tachs (1-shotted a HAC once :o), but that DPS would naturally be relatively low. MP II's with conflag and 3 heatsinks should have some nice results tho, yeah?

Yep, and now thanks to Invention, you can fit the leftover lows with a Damage Control II and 3 Reinforced Bulkheads II for 60% resists X 14,500 HP in your structure, with only 1 MW PG used.

Lets see....
My zealot does about 400+ dps...but it isnt a gank ship.
My absolution does about 650+dps...Its hardly a gank ship.
My geddon does 800+ dps...It is just at the low water mark of "gank."
Btw gank means killing a ship quickly,and killing a battleship in about 20minutes isnt exactly gank.
As for the highest dps i'd say mega federate issue with 7 faction mag stabs 8 neutron w/void 5 ogre II's.
Normal mega and hype are both nice too

A faction-fitted Maelstrom with 800mm Autocannon IIs with Hail and 4 Ogre IIs puts out 1363.844 DPS with max skills, tanks 2811.5 DPS (as much as a Nidhoggur) averaged across resists as long as there are cap booster charges, and can hit up to 60km using Barrage for over 900 DPS.
The FTW setup is:
8x 800mm AC II
1x Gist X-Type XL Booster
2x Dread Guristas Invulnerability Field
2x Pith X-Type Shield Boost Amp
1x Heavy Cap Booster II
4x Domination Gyrostabilizer
1x Damage Control II
2x Projectile Ambit II Rig
1x Projectile Ambit I Rig
It also has the grid to fit an officer web + disruptor at the cost of a weaker tank.

i am using this setup with 3% implants and only have the drone spec skills to 4 so i get 7.62 dmg mod and 2.51 sec rof and a total of 1504 DPS the setup also has 13k hull with 60% resists
