Hi all
I made an item exchange contract, a fully fitted ship, for 1 week. It expired as not enough people were interested in the area where I made it.
But now I have a question. To my understanding, when a contract expires, the items are supposed to go back to the station item hangar where it was created or a "deliveries" hangar if one is available, is that so ?
I did not receive the items from the expired contract anywhere, and I don't see any button on the contract when I view / open it that would say "pick up items" or something alike, only the "delete" and "close" buttons.
So how exactly and precisely do I get my items from an expired contract ? Where is there some sort of a "pick up items" button or something like that ? How do I do this ?
Thanks

An expired contract needs to be deleted. Open contracts and you should see that a contract requires attention on your start page. Otherwise you can choose My Contracts - outstanding and get contracts. Right click the expired contract and delete it. |

I did delete it, in exactly such manner, as it wasn't a very expensive ship and I didn't worry about losing the stuff. And the items are no where to be found after the deletion.
The reason I'm asking is because I made several contracts, and some of them just did not sell and are quite more expansive to me and I expect them to expire within next few days. And I do not want to lose those items.
So how do I get back my items if they arent back in my regular inventory after the contract expires or is deleted ? |

they should pop back into your inventory when you delete the contract. If you are doing it remotely you might need a session change (aka undock or jump system) to be able to see it in your assets again. If it is still not there you might have to wait for downtime to recover them.

I specifically went to the station, this was not done remotely. I have not waited for another downtime though, will try that. I will also try it again with something super cheap like a velator or T1 frig with cheapest modules just to test it out again. So we'll see how it goes after the reset.

Sometimes a simple relog will correct little annoying bugs that happen to creep into the game.
By the way, you can also try clearing all cache files in Esc menu - 'Reset Settings' tab.
That will also help clear out little annoying bugs, not to mention allow the server and client to get back in sync again.
