Edited by: Saltire on 02/05/2007 18:42:38 System : JH-M2W Region : Syndicate Time : 17.00 GMT
Forces involved :
E N I G M A : 10 BS 2 Carriers and some coverts.
Brutaly Clever Empire: 25 BS + support
The OSS + friends 35 mixed fleet, many siper BS.
The OSS were locking down the PC-9AY system with their large bubble and snipers + support in an effort to stop BRUCE from destroying the OSS pos's in IIRH-G. Enigma envoys were contacted with a request for assistance against our mutual enemy which we gladly accepted.
The fleets were formed to attack the OSS fleet and POS's, coverts were cunningly placed next to the sniper groups. At 17.13 eve time the call was given to the BRUCE fleet to jump into jh-m and take down the bubble and all support vessels. At the same time the command was given to Enigma's BS fleet to jump into JH and warp in to their assigned coverts and destroy the snipers. The capitals were stood by to jump in if anything began to hit the fan.
Both the fleets egnaged and the OSS snipers began to pound the brave bruce pilots who were in turn hammering the enemy support. Enigmas BS were engaging and attempting to destroy as many snipers as possible in the lag before someone realised what was going on.
At 17:17 aprox, the oss FC gave the order to bail out, saving some of his snipers. The enemy was chased and botteled up in s-u8.
can someone tally up a kills and loss sheet for this? thanks.
Good Job to all involved on both sides.

I claim this entire victory as my own, despite only warping in, getting lagged and being out of range of everything, then warping out because of aforementioned lag and range and lag.
OSS were all 'oh a combined Bruce/ENIGMA fleet? Pff, bring it! OH WAIT ****, NERO SCURO WARPED IN, RUN AWAAAAAY!!!'

Sorry that I have to say this, but OSS and friends totally slaughtered BRUCE and friends today, taking down BRUCE's POS in JH-M2W, killing no less than 100 ships and causing millions and millions of ISK-loss on our enemy's side.
Now, too bad ENIGMA left before the show started...
Kills Losses
And that's not even everything, Black Flag Alliance has their own KB...

Edited by: Aceformat on 02/05/2007 21:40:50 The OP is correct, what he failed to tell was the story that unfolded later that evening.
After retreating back into S-U and other home systems OSS, Ph.D, BLACK, HUZZAH, TSDS, and TFC formed back up and headed into M2- where the hostile gang lay in wait.
A brief but altogether very laggy affair (100 in system, bad CCP) BRUCE and her allies retreated back into JH- where we followed.
The plan was simple, protect our capitals that were in the process of finishing off a BRUCE pos comming out of re-inforced and make sure all hostiles were eliminated immediately and with proficiency.
Out maneuvered and out flanked BRUCE fell into bubbles and jumped like lemmings into activated guns.
Smack was non-existent so well played to everyone for that.
Figures are not completely accurate but currently the BLACK killboards read 20 kills and 0 losses, with more to be posted.
Although to most this battle seems small and insignificant, the amount of fun, planning and preperation that went into this operation deserves notice.
Hopefully we'll get round two very very soon.

We weren't sure Enigma would be there though, so once I saw them show up in JH-, I knew we had been well played. We pulled back to save our ships for later that day as our POS assault wasn't for several hours. Anyways, as you can see, the rest of the events that day went very well for OSS and her allies. as far as i know in the initial encounter that enigma was involved in we suffered no losses andgained a few kils ( a bit sparse on the kill front as oss snipers warped out as fast as they could - no smack in their situatin i would have warped)
we weren't involved in the 'aftermath' as manchester united were busy getting themselves kicked out of the champions league, perhaps next time.
I hope the political map can be updated so as to show that syndicate isn'ta 'pirate infestation' but more a free for all which muchos fun to be had by all.

BRUCE is not an alliance to brag, so this will probably (but not certainly) be our last post in this thread. We prefer to make our statements on the field, rather than off.
OSS conclusively won the first round, that they pre-prepared, in JH-M2W. BRUCE, a much younger alliance with considerably less resources, pilot skill points, and available pilots at that time of day was definitely shut down.
Hats off to OSS for an impressive campaign, and we thank you for that bit of education that you gave us. BRUCE came to Syndicate to train for a different location at a later date, and OSS has always been happy to supply that experience.
It's worth noting, however, that BRUCE just completed their own campaign, also pre-prepared. It seems that a POS (smaller, true) in S-U, one of the interior OSS systems, has also suffered an untimely demise, one of the three we put into reinforced last night. OSS, an alliance which is much heavier in available pilots early in the evening, was not able to assemble a force before we smashed the POS. We moved to a second POS, but OSS was able to assemble a significant capital fleet to repel us by that point.
OSS has carried the day, true; BRUCE, however, fought well, and drew some significant and notable blood of their own.
We salute OSS, and LONG LIVE THE BRUCES! o/

I wasn't there to be part of the fun, but good fight to BRUCE, COE and ENIGMA. BRUCE and COE always put up a good fight; and ENIGMA, well they PvP like pro's, always a good smart fight with them (and my ship losses prove it).
No offense OSS, Ph.D, BLACK, HUZZAH, TSDS, and TFC, but I rather be up against 100 of you guys than on the receiving end from 20 ENIGMA.
All the same, seemed like everyone had fun. I can't say there wasn't any smacktalk because I can name a few that did- but those are the normal few from TSDS and OSS that talk smack then warp or pop, so it is expected.
But good fight everyone, and glad to see ENIGMA could share in the fun.

Out of curiosity Telemachos, have you fought 20 BFA pilots in one engagement recently?
100 of the OSS/BFA/HUZZAH/TFC/TSDS/Ph.D group meant only maybe 5 or 6 of us. And Rafterman seemed to be vaporizing ships left and right towards the last futile attempts to save the POS. And looking at the two BFA boards, we're about even in kills/losses against Enigma. And please let Kipper know I'm scared to engage another Sabre ever again.
The fights in M2 and JH were great, too bad I couldn't lock anything in 3 of the engagements we had due to blob-lag. You guys almost had my Rokh toward the end of the fight, but I got away :)

Meh, fair game to all...i see no reason to smack.
It's just a shame about all the lag despite the GM's being warned on each occasion. Can you imagine how fun that would have been if it ran as smoothly as say, when you are out ratting? Actually being able to target stuff and then MOVE to it would have been a nice feature.
Question; did anyone else get that freaky "still in ship and flying around despite it blowing up 5 mins ago" stuff? In both my Hurricane and my Maelstrom i was flying around for a good 3-5 mins in it before it finally released my pod. Hell, i could even initiate warp on my Hurricane.

Good fight to everyone involved... After the initial battle, ENIGMA left, thinking there wasn't going to be any further action. Most of our fleet then docked up and watched Manchester United get kicked from the Champions League and drink lots of quafe... Had I known we were going to lose the football, I would've stayed with BRUCE to fight another battle, win or lose...
Just gotta check the FRAPS footage to see if it's worth putting in a video or not... I had a suspicion that it's 1 fps rubbish though...

FRAPS was rubbish, so not going to put it in to a video... In other words, my video is now complete (check my sig).
And back on topic, saying that BRUCE would call on allies when OSS had TSDS, BLACK, and everyone else, isn't really a valid statement... But meh!

Well, they'd never have made it into Syndicate in the first place without help of mercenaries. So, when we put their POS into reinforced, we knew that they would call for help again. I don't think it's a bad thing to count on allies. Neither for OSS nor for BRUCE. After all, that's what you got them for. But BRUCE should have never moved into Syndicate, starting to raid OSS and PhD. They should have known that they didn't stand a chance on their own.

Ya it would have made it a bit more even of a fight. Given that only a few OSS ships were lost, there might have been some BRUCE who got away and didn't get on any killmails, thereby not showing up on that listing. Im not sure how it was lagwise for BRUCE but quite a few OSS people were complaining that they were rendered helpless by lag/slide show. Still a good fight :)
Edit: I was half expecting the engima gang to be only 1 jump away and join the fight (especially when BRUCE didn't fall back when faced by superior numbers) but no dice.

You've been listening to the OSS leadership propaganda machine way too much dude.

All I have to say is... Good fight to all that were involved, and I'm looking forward to the next time we meet on the battlefield.

While BRUCE is the larger alliance in the PC-9 cluster, do not forget COE works alongside BRUCE. I suspect for every kill BRUCE has in gang operations, you'll find COE pilots on the kill mail. What was intrigueing to me was the cat and mouse tactics both sides employed. Looking forward to the next set-to.

Anyone that says Bruce don't deserve to be in pc9 is misguided. Bruce work hard for each other, and lay their ships on the line when it matters.
I look forward to more good fights in the future.
Much respect for that comment, bro.

Actually bro he is right. The mercs that helped move them into 0.0 and convinced them not to try and push into, at the time AE space, Y9G and A-Z. These same Mercs gave them the intel they needed to talk to who would bring them in and also worked NAPS with BFA and OSS to help them move into the area. The reason I know this is because BFA also helped with bringing them into 0.0 and worked NAPS as well for them...amazing how people forget and only look at what they want to. -------- Semper Fi, Jonis Sinmaker

I really don't care who told them to talk to AE/COE tbh. That is of little importance. Anyway, I've allready spend too much words on this.

Umm lol? This the same enigma that got it's ass kicked all over sendaya and doril by anybody who wanted to at the time? Hell even iac thumped them nightly.
I guess they can find some success in synd and look "good" but seriously enigma really do suck :|

Sadly, I've never gotten good loot from RP'ers...
I still want the old Syndicate back, though.
Am I a bad person? |
