LOL how about we start a name and shame thread for all those miners and other bears who, eager to try out some pvp, forget to honour an arranged 1vs1 and similar stuff? Funny thing is- they always get spanked, even when they cheat.
Bears are griefing me, instead of giving me just 1 kill, they give me 2.
Some people are dishonest, nothing new really.

Not paying ransoms has a couple of benefits: 1) You don't run the risk of being shot anyway after paying the ransom. 2) You help make pirating unprofitable.
1) i'd rather have a good chance of saving money and a sligh risk of being out a little more than just accept losing isk without trying to lower the loss. 2) why does that make u happy? if that happened and pirates couldn't make profit the it would be the end of eve as you know it and the start of a new wow clone.

wow.. these topics are popping up all over the place...
but yeah, not honoring ransoms are baddddd....
it discourages the person and people he knows/talks to from paying it in the future....
and yeah, most of the time, pirates get more from ransom and looting what survives from a wreck... -Siggi- ""PvP" isn't only direct person to person combat, it can be very indirect. Selling an item on the market which somebody buys from you is resulting in another guy not getting a sale." Oveur |

Forgive the correction but I must let you know Outbreak was not the corporation that housed Opterion. Ent simply got the ball rolling and helped me out, which I appreciate greatly. The corporation that houses Opterion won't be named by me because they are helping to remedy the problem.

How about you and everyone else that like picking on carebears and miners come look up this particular carebear miner? You need only click my signature. 1v1 for you all day long.

i dont mine much anymore since moving down to 0.0, but when i was in empire i would always have my pvp alt logged on and in the same system just in case. made things much easier when someone tried to steal my ****. BL anyway, its good to see that you got your ransom back at least.

Which has what exactly to do with honouring agreement? I never disrespected ransom or 1vs1, but I was victim of others disprespecting agreements. And they weren't pirates, so what can I conclude? Once a 1 vs 1 was broken with explanation from the guy that he "hates pirates". So in other words there's nothing special in all this, it happens all the time, making an agreement means running a risk. Of course I understand that whoever got ransomed and than killed is mad, what I'm saying is that stuff like that happens in all aspects of the game.
