Alliances and Corporations are nothing without great leaders that can get its men and women achieving the set goals (how tiny they may be for some smaller entities in this game).
I've seen many great things being achieved by people that are inspired by their leaders and it is that what I love in this game, seeing leadership at work!
Therefore I cannot judge an alliance without giving its leaders a thought. Warfare in EvE is relative, leadership is not!
1. Seleene
Fast changing goals, tactical insights and a superb out of game network to round up the troops fast. He is supported by some very capable member sthat would tactically whoop a s s with some fleetcommanders of other greater alliances in this game. Keeps a sound distance to the daily hype.
2. Remedial
From noting to everything, to nothing, to everything. He can set goals, he can get people to achieve them, the question is can he hold on to his achievements? Focuses very strongly on giving his alliance a certain attitude in this game that will work imo very well. He needs some more good advisors or diplomats though to emphazize the strong point of this alliance a bit more.
3. SirMolle
Setting big goals, focussing on the big picture and he might act as the big absolute leader, he is listening to his advisors before acting. It is one of his stronger characteristic. Diplomacy is one of the stronger points of his club.
4. XirtamVOTF
Humourous, tireless, doing the untold and unexpecting, never give up mentality. Some things may work out, some may not, but after all is said, its still a game to him. Your game will never be the same if you are in his corner. 
5. Verone
Inspires through action and constuctivenism. Looks is something to be cherrished in this game. A kill is not a kill if its not a kill in style.
In the end people will choose for the leaders in this game and how they will manage their corporation/alliance. For the "younger" in our midst. Don't stare blindly to these great names and fine alliance they represent above, there are many leaders in this game that can be a blast to follow.
