Smokeyblood	Posted - 2007.05.04 20:38:00 - [1] ok wtf. Did this in my raven. 6 cruise 1xl t1 named booster 4hard (kin kin em therm) 2xbcu 3x pdu All named parts. Cant tank the 3 bs spawns unless i snipe out at 70km. Am i getting my resist wrong? or do they just hit like a truck.

I have nothing constructive to add except that I can do it with my NH easy enough, and can tank all 4 reinforcement spawns with my alt in a Raven remote shield transferring me with 1 Medium T2. /shrugs --- in EVE - Idara

I use two v-m15 braced multispectrals instead of the kinetics, plus one thermal and one em. If you aren't worried about being probed during a mission, don't forget to use drones. Might as well get all the help you can. If you have tech 1 bcu's, the tech 2's will give you a little more damage. The bcu-2's are the first tech 2 modules I ever bought. If your skills allow, you might consider going to three ballistic control units, see if the rate of fire bonus or even the small penalized damage bonus from the 3rd one makes any difference (since killing faster is the best way to save your tank). But the real key to this mission is killing just one of the first four drones, kill the spawn that triggers, kill the second of the original four, kill the spawn that triggers, etc. Triggering all four reinforcement spawns, and then going to work on them would be a nightmare.

It's also worth moving away to get some distance because the spawns arrive at the same place every time. I usually move out to 70km from their spawn point then I can blow them up before they get into range. Not sure if they are different in the Attack of the Drones but that's a pretty much bug standard damage breakdown of all level 4 drones. Plus what Ralara said - deal with one spawn at a time and you'll be fine. YMMV

I think that equates to something like 72% Exp, 60% Therm, 60% Kinetic and 60% EM resistances. My dual rep used to repair approx 160-165hp/s... Alaron Giancol Resurrection R i s e	Posted - 2007.05.07 02:15:00 - [15] I did this mission earlier with a double repped apoc. wasn't sure on the resists so I went with my standard merc/drone setup of 1 EANM and 1 of each exp/therm/kin hardeners, dcu, and 2x lar (all t2). The only time I was in danger of dying was when I got annoyed at the trigger drones (didn't know they were all triggers at the time) and popped 2 or 3 of them at once. By in danger, I mean running both reps at the same time still wasn't able to bring my armor to 100%

I usually fly this mission in an Abaddon with a resist of 85-90% depending what damage type. With such high resists you can equipp 1x Large T2 repper and they wont break your tank. OK i live in the new regions so therefore my main income source is ratting drones **************************** Great minds think alike**
Randolf Sightblinder Ex Coelis	Posted - 2007.05.10 18:23:00 - [17] The drone BS's in this mission arn't the normal drone BS's though they're not the nasty ones from kill the informant either. They do however do quite a bit of EM compared to the common drone BS's in infested outposts. I believe when I was doing this in a drake I went em, therm, invuln on the hardners with BC4 that pretty much flattens the resists. I really miss that resist boost in my raven. Randolf
