Just in case that nobody has told you about, EvE-Uni is the thing for New Pilots.
They have a Wiki and also you can attend classes to learn all the important stuff about New Eden.

Jump bridges are built and owned by sovereign alliances. They are generally restricted to use by alliance/coalition members. You should be able to get a map of the jump bridge network for your own coalition. |

Jump bridges are player made, as such they are only in nulsec. They are also restricted in who can use them, usually by a password.
Some ships (Titan and Black ops)can be used to bridge other ships into systems through the use of a cyno (Cynosural Field) which can be used to travel to lowsec as well as nulsec.

They say Alpha clones are only for trying stuff. I say it's just the Hard Mode.
