im in a system where 2 cloaked ships have been hanging out for almost a month now, the alliance im in has about 100 players and game play in the system has almost come to a holt, im a paying player and so is the 100 players that use the system, thats $1500 a month and were being denied play by 2 players $30 a month, im about redy to just stop paying till CCP comes up with a way to detect cloaked ships, this is getting rediculas, im sure CCP never ment players to come in a system and shut it down for a month at a time... well i have to go and take my auto pay off now cause im not paying if i cant play in the system i want to...

So wait...
You get 100 people in a system, all working together to accomplish the same goal, and 2 guys in a couple cloaky recons come over and own you, hands down, you can't even tickle their shields?
I really gotta stop putting off recons V then

You'll have to trap them... or get someone with some half decent alts to leave their own recons in their 24/7 to kill them when they attack you.
What kind of ships are they using? Its not that hard to kill most recons...

a) In fairness they are not there all the time.... figure out from the kills and contacts the scope of these guys activity and play around it as best you can... they must sleep and/or work so jus use your heads....
although it could be 4 guys taking turns on 2 accounts in which case your up the duffer mate....
b) grow a pair and bait them.... rinse and repeat till they stop harassing you....

your $1500 per month shud be spent on comics or other kiddy stuff

Who are they killing? the lone unescorted hauler or the lone ratter I'll bet.
Follow one of these around in your own Recon ships? Get a fast tackle group ready at a POS. Bait them then when they decloak kill them and shout wakkawakkawakka!!! in local*.
You should know what times they are generally active from their previous attacks (see killmails).
Paying to play the game gives you the right to play. Tactics, combat, that is part of the game. If you do not like these things why play in the first place. It's not like anyone told you Eve was a fluffy wonderland full of juicy veldspar (unless you spoke to Chribba).
*shouting wakkawakkawakka!!! in local is optional.

you have 100 people, even at your lowest online point you should have 10 people online...rat together, mine together, don't be cowards...if you can't handle 0.0 like you seem (and your alliance) seem not to be able, move back into empire where you'll be safe as anything...

You know... theres some things about people who whine on the forums for nerfing this and that that inspire a lot of funny jokes. Let's nerf all of space so that it takes 1 jump to get anywhere! No, its a joke right? It's meant to inspire laughter in other people. No one takes it seriously and you feel like it'd be the end of the game as you know it if it were implimented.
This leads me to .... is this a joke? This is just one of those things that makes me wonder "what do people want nerfed next? Having to jump more then once to get to another place in eve?" I don't really get it, like, what's preventing you from killing them? How are they "shutting down the system"? You guys are either the biggest bunch of carebears Eve has ever seen or we're not being told something.

Looks to me to be another nerf the cloak thread,
CCP dont nerf the cloak its fine as it is, youve nerfed everythng else pretty much all in the cloud of balancing the game, Cloaks dont need nerfing.
To the OP you say you have 100 in system and you have all stoped playing the game because of these 2 cloakers, The cloakers can only be in a few places so why not get some fast locking ships spread around system looking for them because when locked a cloaker cant cloak,

I have been in 0.0 for about 9 months now and dam 2 recon in system they are not a problem jus get on wiv life if ur skill points can hack killin them then get out of 0.0 fast coz if i saw u i would come on face 2 face wiv u it seems like they are more scared of you then u of them get wiv the game coz wot they are doin is playin the game come to EC for a week and it hard to live there but i have done it for months and will cont to do it becoz its part of the game

Cloakers are not overpowered, the pvp community of eve should NOT pay up every time some carebear idiots comes whine here because they cant figure out how to kill something they cant see and are to stoupid to work in a group because their own wallet is more important.

if they had modules which detected cloaked ships, no one would bother with cloaking, taking a element out of the game.
100 of you, should have a good go at finding them, if not you would worry them a lot if you looked for them, certain tatics have a chance to find them, and if you do, they would have no cnahnce against you.

Given the defenition, why should it be eve possible to detect a cloaked ship?
What these people are doing is perfectly legitimate, if you don't like it, move to another system.

I agree that their should be something that counters a cloak. Id like to see an anti cloak bomb that is jettisoned, and then discharged, creating a shockwave that knocks cloaks offline. They could be reactivated within a second or two, but would rid EVE of AFK cloakers, since you would have to be paying attention to reactivate your cloak. Its a small thing that changes the aspect of cloaking just a bit.
