I would like a response from a dev or gm who has discussed this with a dev.
Will CCP tone down the npc rats in the belts?
Has anyone recieved any information on this?

there is need for a middle ground 0.0 though where 2 BS can handle the spawns and the ore is say small qauntiites of bisot, crok and some morph. Then in the good -0.5+ areas you get the big mutha spawns we have now protecting ark/spod and high quantities of morph that need the 5+ escorts in your gang and a large no of people to pull the op off well. This sort of change might be a nice carrot to get people back into 0.0 once tech 2 has hit the markets and no of people doing missions drps as they return to production to make the tech 2 items and resource gathering that this entails.

There is a mention in the dev bloc about the spawns.
Basically, the devs do not plan in toning down the spawns.
But they do admit they were not supposed to be in every belt in 0.0 space.
So what happened is that insane spawns are relocated, and most 0.0 systems now have relatively tough, but midlevel spawns.
In-empire space spawns are back too.

I love the new beefed up NPC pirates however I do agree that there is somthing a tad wrong with the NPC BS spawns.
I would love to go up against them but I know I cant, everytime I have seen them spawn they always come together with a tough bodyguard and they come in numbers.
In an area where a common spawn is six 10k, two 40k two 65k and one 85k I dont think the BS should clone two at a time and ontop of the above listed.
I would like to see a single BS, backed upp by the common 6 friggs and say 4 cruisers, that may be doable for me, I cant do 8 cruisers and 2 BS on my own :)
Just tweak the spawns a tad and all will be fine for me.
