Hrmmmmmm.... on paper a PDU II increases cap recharge by 13.9%, while the Beta Reactor Cap Flux (BRCF) increases cap recharge by only 9.65%. However in QuickFit and in game, I get higher cap recharge using 3x BRCF instead of 3x PDU II.
I guess the stacking penalty reduces the BRCF's cap penalty, making multiple Cap Flux modules significantly more efficient.

There is no stacking penalty, just your math is off. BRCF increases cap recharge by 19.72%, not 9.65%... --------- There is no 'n' in turret There is no 'r' in faction There is no 'a' in Kestrel There is no 'e' in Caldari

Doh! And a PDU II provides a 10.5% increase instead of 13.9%.

I think the intention behind the PDU II is not only get cap recharge but also shield recharge.. but if I understand what you are getting at ...
Drop the Shield recharge in favor of better Cap recharge and run the booster longer???

Using Quickfix I've determined that my cap will last longer. With all things being the same my cap lasts 72 seconds with 3 CCC and it will last 81 seconds with 2 of them and one CDC. (This was without running any cap boosters)

I know you asked for t2 only, but I find that dread gurista hardeners are worth the money for the cpu issues that t2 presents. I'd be surprised if you could fit the ship the way I do with all t2, in fact. Also, I have never placed torps on this ship. The tank is better with cruise, no painters are needed. BC's go down in 2 volleys, cruisers in 3 volleys.
High: 7x T2 cruise 1x diminishing nos
Mid: 1x XL shield booster II 1x Shield Boost Amp 2x Race specific DG hardener 1x DG invululnerability field 1x cap recharger II
Low: 2x BCS II 3x PDS II
Rigs: Here's where I vary from the pack. I've never had a problem with cap when I really need my booster to run. I put on 3 of the ones that increase shield recharge rate. With the hardeners running and the sheer size of the shield, on many spawns I don't even need to turn the booster on.

I'm running a CNR with: 7xT2 cruise 1 tractor (it's boring to wait to reach a can to complete a mission at 139m/s)
Gist b-large (yeah, not xl) t2 boost amp 4x t2 hardeners
1 domination bcu 4 x pdu ii
rigs are hmm.. ccc i loading bay thing (rof) some +resistance rig
Basically with this setup i'm at 20.5k shields, booster is doing 370 or so every few seconds (cap can't run out), and there's rarely anything breaking me down from 100% shield. In fact, i think the mission that hurts the most is vengeance step 1 if you get all the evil drone dudes on you. Neither WC, Assault or Enemies Abound (step1-4) has been challenging (yet).
Pre-gist i used to have an alt in an osprey, just so i can alt-tab and do stuff while things are dying, but now it's a waste, and the alt either is offline or in a drake for extra dps.
Using QuickFit to find the sweet spot where natural cap/s usage and recharge is enough to recover if you're nos'ed a little is well worth it.
I used to run with 7xT2 - 1 Heavy NOS, XL T2 + Amp, 4 Hardeners and more BCU's in low, but it didnt seem worth it in the long run, should something go haywire (bad lag or something) - I'd die eventually. |

CCCs have no drawbacks, shield rigs make your sig radius bigger. Yes even the fat Raven suffers for this. A vanilla Raven doesn't actually take full damage from torps, but a shield rigged one will. ----------- Support fixing the EVE UI |

Well 1 painter does cut it, i used to use 2, but changed to a sensor booster and a target painter 2. The boost in lock times means i can kill alot more ships when they mwd toward me and bc's and bs's melt to torps. Whats left can easily be killed by my t2 hammerheads. Ive found missions to go faster with that setup 2, but i do have a gist/dread tank which helps alot.
