i was running Anomic team mission, i had to return to a starbase and then when i went back to mission location the warp acceleration gate landed me right in scram range and this obviously is not FAIR and it also sucks cause i lost my ship.
I am sure that is not a big deal to code in a condition to be landed in safe range in CASES where you have to deal with ships fitted with scrams.
i thought this was a rare thing but it's not. 2 times in 2 days. how am i suppose to run missions like this(electronic warfare) if i don't even have certainty that i am gonna be landed in safe range.
i just want to bring this to the developers attention and help to make this game more enjoyable and FAIR as a GAME should be.
Thanks a lot |

Well, I definitely understand and sympathize with your situation.
However those missions are designed to be very hard to complete. Not to mention there's plenty of info guides available about those missions that minimize the chance of ship loss. Even then players should still be prepared for the unexpected.
Anyway, hope you have better luck next time.

Then why do you have to go back to the starbase? I've rarely heard about people having to go back to the starbase to complete this mission. |

my fit was not good enough and had to adjust few times or i overheated too much and had to repair etc. as someone stated above this missions are not easy.
anyway this can be fixed very easy but i think the designers just don't have the necessary feedback from us.
do you guys know with whom do i have to speak from CSM about this?
thx for your comments |

You are supposed to get scrammed and die if you are not prepared.

Please read from the beginning, is not about being unprepared, it's about being automatically landed from time to time by the warp acceleration gate right in scram range. This being a type of mission that you can complete only orbiting at safe range (watch youtube) using ECMs
i don't mind losing ships due to my bad piloting BUT i don't find it ok to lose ships because the server decided randomly to land you in scram range in a electronic warfare type of mission |

Contacting the CSM won't help, if you think the game mechanic pertaining to that mission is bugged, you could submit a Support Ticket and see if a Bug Report should be filed for it.

you entered the mission and moved the npcs then left and came back to wherever they were. Leaving and coming back there is no guarantee to where the npcs will end up. I don't expect ccp to do any work on "fixing" it as it isn't really broken.
range tanking is a safe and easy way to do the missions, but it is not the only way. The burners don't do too much dps and are pretty easy to tank, you mostly need to be able to knock down a logi or two to be able to defeat the assault frig.

when you orbit them you dont control where you move them, they do, if it isn't really broken and you can't control the landing then a warning before activating the acceleration gate will do.
there are many ways to make it less frustrating.

but you can control where you start orbiting something.
shiploss isn't inherently bad for the game, and imo PVE combat that risks shiploss makes you think far harder about fits, than pve combat where its just knocking down rows of cardboard cutouts with hitpoints.

you are a player, they are dumb ai, you absolutely control the engagement. it was your choice to use orbit, it was your choice to warp out, it was your choice to come back. Next time if you need to warp out make sure to lure them away from the warp in point, and don't do it inline with the warp in and their spawn, that way they won't be near the warp in when you do go back.
Accept you screwed up and move on, don't get so caught up on a frigate wreck.

You moved the NPCs the first time you engaged them. Then when you re-entered they immediately engaged you from their new position using the stated tools at their disposal. This is what happens across all PVE in EVE unless NPCs are dragged a long way from their spawn point. This is the same for Level 4s, DED sites, burner missions.
Maybe you should be better prepared before entering a site; there isn't an abundance of material telling you exactly what will work. If you aren't totally sure you can do something then that's what the test server is for but the mechanics are working as intended - it is you who is not. |

Hell people even do it on purpose in HQ Incursions hoping that someone will die. Preloaded TCRCs and all.

Working as intended.
Everything indicates that EVE is the wrong game for you.
When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Nothing is broken. Nothing needs to be fixed. You moved the NPCs. No site in the game resets itself to the initial conditions after a player warps out. Your result was easily predictable based on well known and understood game mechanics.
If you need to tinker with a fit prior to running the burners, I highly recommend doing it on the test server. I lost an embarrassing number of ships when I first started burners until I figured that out. |

Wrong. This is also a mission where you don't need ECMs (and a lot of people don't use them) and where you can brawl those 3 burners solo.

I don't see this as a problem.
It didn't land you in scram range immediately on first warp in. The problem is in your initial time in the area the rats moved... and because of that they WERE in scram range the next time you came in.
I've had similar things happen to me in missions where I was in a range fit and came back in a second time and found myself in the middle of the blob of enemies because of my prior visit. I think that's reasonable. |

If you need to bail out of a team you always always ALWAYS pull the rats AWAY from the landing beacon. Otherwise yes, you can have this problem of landing on the beacon with the rats on top of you when you come back. |

I've personally run over 2000 Teams (i keep a bookmark of each site as a Deepspace safe) and I have never landed less than 30km from the rats. |

I've never encountered it either. A few seconds of lag could give the appearance of him sitting at 0 though. As soon as the game catches up, he would suddenly be sitting on top of you. Theoretically, I suppose it could be an occasional glitch, but it would have to be extraordinarily rare given the complete lack of first hand reporting of such a thing. |

no, never. I had some issues, like the jaguar critting (but not since along time) or the stupid orbit movement in base talos (EVERY time now FFS), but team burners always spawn 30km away.
@OP : this is working as intended. youCAN submit a ticket saying that the rats did not move back to their spawn area but I'm not sure CCP would agree with you. However, may be worth.
IF you are not sure about your fit, please use ssi to test.I lost MANY fits on sisi and lost a few on sing, even with good sps those missions are meant to punish you from a single mistake (eg burning your prop on the guristas/sansha is death) |
