Well, let the ship be the risk - it's already brittled with modules that you can afford to loose. Oh, I just ruined my own argument - you should be able to loose the implants too. But for some ppl they are just too bloody expensive too lose.
Let boosters take over the role for implants - you still risk loosing your 500 mill raven (modules and rigs whatever) or whatever you decide to fly anyway. (Those CNR's arent entering .4 anyway, but you cant blame implants for that).
But you can techincally blame implants for keeping *some* people out of lowsec. And you *can* blame implants for creating a greater distance between rookies and vets.

they might a distance in warefare
but in learning points ? anyone can have +9-10 what they start with as well as +2 implants after a few lazy months of play and within a month if they get tips and play well
point is that a game can be newbie friendly but if it has no toys for the vets then it will not keep them very long ____ __ ________ _sig below_ the jet cans are made so that people that dont mine can get free ore

i dont think it's a good idea to remove anything from the game. instead it would be better to improve what is already implemented. in this case i think a better argument would be for making implants removable instead of removing them completely from the game. it's not going to happen but making them removable is way more likely than removing them altogether since it doesn't involve abandoning something ccp spent time implementing.

I can understand your point, Tilla Hun. Don't want to jump on my pvp-clone caus i lose 5-7 hours per day compared to my +5 imp clone, so i better stay in empire most of the time And it's nice to see that as an empire-carebear after 1 year of gametime i'm like 2-3 months in training time ahead of that 0.0-people who can't afford more than +2 imps as they regularly land in bubbels and get podded.

I have a clone with over 100 mil in implants in it, I can't afford to replace those, so I keep it in a station and use it when I'm going away from the game for a couple of days.
I PVP in clones that either don't have implants, or they have a couple of +1 implants in them. Maybe a +2. That way, I can afford to get podded 3-4 times a week. I lose skill training time. I have more fun. It works for me.
My one complaint is that the latest patch has introduced a significant period of lag whenever my ship gets blown up. I used to be able to warp away in my pod 9 times out of 10. These days, I lose my ship, lag, and wake up in a station. ------ Agony Unleashed is recruiting. |

You are so wrong. I have a full set of +3's and I make regular trips into low sec. It never even bothered me that I could loose my implants because I know how to avoid getting podded if I lose a fight. Implants are fine, it's people not wanting to lose them is the problem.

Remove implants.
What's with all the 'What if?' threads this week? I have implants. But they're crappy ones worth about 200k each in Essence. I want to PvP, but it's not the thought of losing those implants that's putting me off, nononononono... It's the constant feeling that I'm going to lose every fight, the current lack of cashflow (but that's my fault), the unwillingness to spend 3 hours buying a new ship of the same model and fitting it out again.
But that's just me, who Nero kindly described as a "noob".
I made two posts with 'What if...' in the thread title, and now everyone is copying me.
Because I said so...

Remove implants.
EDIT: Sorry - editing here. If you're a Vet - you can afford buying 4-500 mill in implants. Noobs cant. You gain adavantage. Silly. Purely Silly. If you have 4-500 mill in your head, chances are that you dont wanna risk loosing it.
Clone jump? Screw that - you're not clone jumping 8 times a day to pvp/fit your playstyle because of 2 things. You cant - there's a 24 hour delay. YOu wouldnt do that - because you loose precious "training skill time".
Drop implants please.
It's sooooo easy.
OPen char sheet, go to implants page, right click on implants, click REMOVE!
ZAP - they are gonners, no need to open a thread about dis
Or you can get yourself podded. That will also remove your implants

You know the real answer here is just not to put implants in your head in the first place. I have been implant free for quite some time now, and it's great.

oddly enough i was gate camping in +4's with all but 1 implant slot filled. I have the firm belief that once i fully kit myself out thats when i get podded.
If implants prevent you from pvping you wernt going to pvp anyways. so this topic is null
