I have a question to ask.
With my main character, just for a change in this forum.
I am english and that's irrelevant because in eve we are spread around all factions, but I remember the old G alliance as strongly German based and being anti-bob (like me, for historical reasons, simply)
WTF happened to the solidarity that you guys had?
BOB is BOB and there is no point in me trying to insult them, it would make no difference and in any case, most eve players will not read this anyway.
The factions that have sided with them, have done so out of blind ignorance and pandering neccessity.
Most of these factions do not deserve to hold 0.0 space, and without BOB assistance, would be swept aside very easily.
There are those, however, who have supported this, if I may be so bold as to suggest, somewhat corrupted regime.
They are the ones who who should hold themselves in contempt, you don't need me to tell you who you are, it is apparent to you as you look in your bloated corp wallet or view your cancerous and malignant capital ship fleet(s).
For the average eve player, like myself, who may have played the game for quite some time, all we can do is shake our head and wonder at how these things have come to pass and try to assuage the bitterness we feel, bite down our feelings of exploit and tyranny.
I look to the future and hope that New Eden will eventually usher in a new era, we cannot expect ccp to do this for us, this we have looked for and been disappointed.
It is up to the capsuleers, in space, to overcome all odds, because whatever the odds, even though BOB may have more TITANS than everyone else in eve combined, more residents/slaves than anyone could ever dream of.
Surely there is an answer to this oppression...

...
I have to ask, what makes you more deserving of holding space then these other alliances? Is it because they are small? Weak? Fighting against you? I think everyone should be able to live in 0.0, I also believe that only the powerful will hold 0.0. All alliances must start out somewhere. I also find it interesting that some of these 'small, weak' alliances are at least still holding onto their space. The same can not be said about some...other, larger entities...

It's a game and people try to have fun. While you may have fun holding an old grudge for historical reasons others may not feel this way, or even hold a grudge against your own alliance or coalition.
Posts stating that one side or another is fundamentally evil seem rather stupid to me... pardon me if I am being rude.

I beleive he's saying that people who pay for space to live in or are otherwise custodian to space which they didn't conquer should not deserve that space, and that it's annoying that they can get away with it. I tend to agree. Paying for space is like paying for sex.
The universe is hostile, so impersonal, devour to survive, so it is, so it's always been.

Wonder what's so different between siding with BoB, compared to siding with D2 in nap'land north or with ragoon in nap'land east. Ok, coalition tried to claim the morale high-ground, but they don't have it. They are no better than BoB.
Since you mentioned historical reasons: Also because of that some people side rather with BoB than with RAGoon or D2 !
If I look back, who was blue to us, then it was [5], SA, BOB, LV, ASCN. But BoB not always. If I look back, who was red to us, then that's RA and the whole North since my day one in 0.0. Really a no-brainer to feel pro-BoB in this conflict, especially after the war in the east against RAGoon and them being best friends with the north.
See: historical reasons. Alone the idea of flying with archenemies from the North and RA against BoB gives me this I-guess-I-need-to-puke-now-feeling, although it's nothing personal against the players itself.
But I'm in CoW and we are not directly involved in this war, although not neutral, and that's ok that way.
Anyway your post was probably directed towards Ev0ke. I just wanted to say make clear, why not everyone joins your coalition and jumps on your rapetrain. ___________ Muuuhhh !!! |

bob allies are too stupid to realise what will happen to them after the war is over and those that are aware feel they stand a better chance on bobs side atm.

Well said.
I fight because it is the only thing I have ever known. In the grand scheme of things, it matters not how or why we are enemies in this game. You show up in my overview, and that is enough for me. ------------------------

Pretty similar to what Plutonium said.
If you look at some of the players on the North's side of the war, you've got RA, AAA, D2 and IRON. RA we've been red to since before alliances were an ingame mechanic. AAA has been red pretty much since it's inception. D2 and IRON haven't liked us since the GNW. That doesn't include newer alliances that we've been in conflict with for one reason or another over the last year.
It's all fine and dandy to want to pull down the juggernaught that is BoB. Tbh, I'm sure they'd be bored to tears if it were any other way. But given a choice between a rogues gallery of enemies that you've never gotten along with and would cut your throat for a Bantam BPO, or a group of alliances that for the most part you've been able to coexist alongside...who do you choose?
It's a no brainer. Better the devil you know, than the one you know wants to stick a flaming pitchfork in your back, make "whoopie" with your girl, wreck your car and kick your cat.

What Plutonium said.
There are a ton of players and Corps who have been screwed over or pushed around by the holier than tho Goon and friends. I get all warm and fuzzy whenever I blow one of them up and Ill keep on it until they move on to a different game.
So maybe you should consider the fact that maybe there are a ton of us that consider some or all of the "Coalition" members the evil empire.

LOL. You sound like an Islamic Extremist preaching death to America. Your self-annointed righteousness does nothing more than highlight your ignorance. Thanks for reminding us who hate the Coalition why we despise you. Your statements continually show how you are 10 times more full of yourselves than BoB is.

For many of them it can only become worse, if BoB loses and RAGoon and D2+friends get on top of the food chain. Preventing that this happens is vital for some 'pets' and seeing those northern and eastern coalitions crumble would be at least a pleasure. Guess the 'pets' care about those things first and think about the BoB-owns-all-of-0.0-problem later, when it turns out to become a problem.
You wrote 'atm' and that fits. What counts is what's best for the 'pets' at the moment and best is probably winning this together with BoB now and think about the rest afterwards. ___________ Muuuhhh !!! |

You haven't destroyed IRON by a long shot. Many have tried, including your masters BoB, and have failed. Either you or BoB will personally hold the entire North with your supercap super blob, or it will simply change hands again. _________________________________________________________

Luthien, this is a game :) Its purpose is having fun, doesnt matter if you win or lose. You are an eve player, just like myself, and just because we play opposite sides, doesn't mean we have to consider eachother enemies :) Being it like that, I'll buy you a beer or Vodka any day _________________________

Things seems to have changed in MC, I never received a dime, so 6 rifters would be a handsome reward. What can I say, BoBs pays more handsomely than any other entity
