I thought observers might be interested to know, that the recent escalation of the war between UK/CVA reached a new height today.
The Capital Shipyards in X-R have just been destroyed. UK Allies current report no capital and minimal ship losses.
Interesing times in Providence.

To be honest, I wanna know a lot more about the goings on in Providence. UK and CVA are both as hard as nails, and both great pvpers (excusing the fact that their ebil RPers). And, now that a good other equally skilled entities have been thrown into the mix, I reckon there must be a lot of fun to be had down there atm. ------------

We were there indeed, we probably had more than 150. Did we warp in to save the POS? If it had something in it that was expensive doesnt it compute that we would of gone hell for leather to defend it?

O theif is Butter Dog's alt, he is a member of the littlest hobos and has a vendetta against CVA.
If the POS was building a super capital, would it of had 12 hours of stront only ;)
Kudos for killing the shipyards though, tis a pita that you cant unanchor them.

[21]
Rokh Class Battlehip "Ahriman" Unity Station.
Alexandra began to tear off her pod suit with a fatigued slowness that belied the day's events. The ship's crew, except for a skeleton engineering section, had already been released into the station for a little rest and relaxation. For their 1st combat cruise, they had done surprisingly well.
The POS blew to pieces in a surprisingly short amount of time. However, the enemy had showed a determined resistance to stop the allied fleet from getting anywhere near the POS. The EM and gravimetric interference of the opening skirmish had overloaded the ships targeting and command and control systems. While the computers tried to recalibrate and adjust, the ship just sat there for several agonizing minutes. When control did return, the fight was almost over. The interference effected both sides, but the enemy was effected more than the allies and had sustained serious casualties in the opening assault. Thankfully, the interference diminished over the course of the battle to a manageable level. After that, the fleet took up orbital bombardment positions around the station's perimeter and blew it to pieces.
Alexandra had fully considered her battleship to be lost over the course of the battle. With either a fools luck or actual skill, her ship made it home relatively unscathed. For how long however, has yet to be determined.

Some facts:
1) UK and allies (Outbreak, Enherijar Rising, Chaos Incarnate, EVOKE, BUM and co) attacked XR this morning
2) They successfully put all POS (four) in XR into reinforced
3) They lost a Dread (who fell asleep apparently) whilst doing so
4) CVA and friends gathered this evening as first of our POS came out of reinforced
5) UK and friends (including Star Fraction now) gathered in surrounding systems.
6) They jumped in and lag struck - severely crippling our snipers of which half died before they even loaded (they werent at the right gate due to a clever feint). C'est la Vie! As a result the terrorists and co win a victory on the gate and allied forces withdraw to POS.
7) The terrorists and friends attack our least defended POS (we. We let them - deciding to fight at a more advantageous location.
8) Our first POS died and a Minmatar tower was erected.
9) Outbreak break off from terrorist fleet depriving them of approximately 30/40 tech II snipers.
10) CVA and allied forces took offensive and the Minmatar fleet (from our perspective) seemed to panic and jumped out of system into X6.
11) CVA and co successfully catches and records a number of kills in the neighbouring X6 system as the terrorists flee.
12) Minmatar tower is destroyed before it can be properly onlined and a new Amarr POS is erected and onlined.
That's the story

After killing a U'K tower I might add ;)
Lag was horrible. I missed the initial battle, was glad, went and watched Eurovision for awhile, got back and started killing people as they were leaving.
Very scary sitting 12km from a Nyx in a Osprey trying to remember pos pw as you're bumping the shields and a swarm of Ogre II's are approaching. 50% armor ;)

Oh yes one point of clarification regarding the U'K withdrawl....that was not panic, it was an accidental gang warp command caused by the lag. One second primaries were about to be called, the next half the fleet warped off. Needless to say there was a lack of laughter at that point.

Yes certainly there is a problem with some of the stargates causing disruption to the space-time continuum. I have at least 15-20 minutes I cannot account for once the order to just was given. :( Perhaps a strengthening of the links that bind space and time for systems surrounding providence stations could be organised by the gods?
