So besides the underlined contradictions in your post, do your setups use CPRs? Because I don't want to do that.
Just as an aside, some best-named items are the same / as good as T2, but with easier fitting requirements. Don't blindly get all items with the gold corner "Just because" ----------------------------------------------- Adm Vladimir Tinakin CFO Hadean Drive Yards |

Well there's a rep amount and rep duration rig, same as normal armour rigs only they work on capital armour reps.

I know, but I can't think of any in the shield tanking department that are equal to T2. Named hardeners all give 50% instead of 55% for T2, invuln fields give 25% instead of 30% for T2, named shield boost amps give 30% instead of 36% for T2.
For low slots, beta power diagnostics are just very slightly worse than T2 so they're very much an option, and beta CPRs have the same stats as T2 if I remember right, but even with named CPRs and named shield hardeners I can't get a working setup on the Chimera without a co-proc. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships! |

Caldari capitals have enough CPU, if you know what you're doing. (...)
Can you share your setup, please? Because I cant figure out a way to achieve that kind of DPS tanked on average resists.
Assuming 1x Capital Shield Booster and 2x Shield Boost Amplifier II and Capital Shield Operation at level 4 your tank can regenerate 925.6142 shield hp per second. Adding passive shield regen (which is around 25 on a Chimera) this give 950 hp/s.
That means to get a 4500 DPS tank you would need an average resistance of 78.89%. Getting that high in the resists and sustaining the shield booster forever (about 200 cap/s needed, plus a couple more for active hardeners) seems impossible with only tech-2 or named equipment - you either wont get your cap recharge above 200, or you use CPRs and gimp your shield boost amount, requiring even higher resistances to meet the 4500 DPS tanked.
I havent even dived into the CPU problems you get with 2 Boost Amps, and fitting a Co-Proc tends to lower the cap recharge ability even more.
