Waaaay too small. While watching blobs of varying color jump around is, to some degree, fun, it would've been much more interesting if one was actually able to read the names of the blobs.
It is of course possible to guess with adequate certainty the names of the big ones, but the tiny ones remain a complete mystery.

Zhulik, I agree and I would like to do a better one.
For a starter its decent, IMHO.
Any ideas on an efficient way to make it legible?

Make it a full resolution video. Choose the size of the largest map, and make them all (and the video itself) that size.
And when resizing any smaller maps, use a cubic/bicubic resize (the GIMP is free and has the option). It keeps the text much more readable than Paint's Nearest Point resize or the standard Bilinear resize.

Have to agree with the comments so far. Atm its just colors changing in a bad resolution. Could be interesting to see this one in full seize, though.

make the next one in a higher resolution, pls, so u can actually read the text. oh and maybe make the
transition between the pictures smoother, then id give it 10/10.

You might want to do some forum trolling as well and add in some combat scenes from some of the more impressive land grabs (PA wars of the north and such)along with the previously stated enlargement to rez size. But definetly a great first attempt at this. It'll be tough trying to throw in two years worth of wars into a managable sized file though, heh
