Subject says it all- What is the typical response time you people are seeing? I've had a petition in that has had no response at all for just over 7 days now, and I'm really curious if this is how it normally goes or what. |

Corp mate of mine had issues with the ammo maker array in our POS. It was basically eating minerals and BPO's ... still no response 6 days +

4 weeks is my worse time.depends on urgency of the petitions, reimbursements are bottom of the pile i think

Good responses, everyone.
Just trying to figure out if I'm merely sorta screwed or completely, undeniably screwed. Funky how the response times vary.
My personal previous experience with petitions was that it had taken about 48 hours before initial response, but after that, every back-and-forth with the GM regarding that petition was darn near instantaneous in comparison. Same happened with a friend of mine in a petition for a ship he lost- though, it took about 4 days for the initial response on that one- after that, however, he said it was a very quick couple back-and-forth messages before it was all tidied up.
Could only wish that it was this way with this petition!

The response times will vary based on how many idiots are currently asking for every loss to be reimbursed, and the GMs' beer consumption.
God only knows how many reimbursement petitions usually comprise the queue.

Response times vary alot actually, sometimes you may have to wait awhile (*) though i tend to think very well written petition with alot of info saves time.
I have had 2 petitions that where for reimbursement and had both answered with a very reasonable time though most times i don't really bother filling any reimbursement petitions even when the loss is related to a bug (1 of the petitions was upgraded to reimbursement under GM advisement after an normal petition / bug report).
It helps alot if you can provide specific logs that can give an indication to what could possibly be the cause or can provide exact timestamps, location where it happened, under what kind of conditions (eventually more people who where affected at the same time).
It depends on what kind of bug however and some may take alot longer to solve then others (lower priority, harder to checkup quickly, not a direct cause-effect-solution without going deeper in the system etc).
* doesn't mean the petition is not being looked after but the less details offered the longer it takes to verify claims aswell as how hard the problem is to solve / verify.

Yes, that's good advice for people as well. Thanks! I tried to provide as much information as possible, but who knows what the GM's will want in advance.

I was speaking with a friend this morning who said that he got his Faction-fitted Domi reimbursement petition answered within 30 seconds - surely a record!
I've made 2 petitions. In both cases, I made an effort to put the facts of the case across as clearly and completely as possible, kept my opinions out of it, and was polite and respectful in tone. Both petitions were answered promtply and satisfactorily
