I suppose you can already do this using the search, but having a specific uniform set of filters would probably be even better. And the same goes for player searches of course, but then you've already had that suggestion ;)

Vince Gedama	Posted - 2007.06.22 08:47:00 - [36] I just did some testing with the filters, and there seems to be a bug somewhere - they don't work QUITE like they should. At time of testing, only one corp seems to support the new filters, and they have all filtes set to yes apart from pirating, which is set to no. If I set pirating to "yes", and all other filters to "doesn't matter", I still get that corp as a result. Various other settings with pirating on "yes" produce the same result. Production on "no" and all other filters on "doesn't matter" had the same result. Some combinations however seem to correctly filter that corp; setting PvP, mining, production and pirating to "yes" for instance will filter the corp, as will setting pirating, 0.0, empire, missions and fleet to "yes". PvP and mining on "yes" with production on "no" filters. So does PvP on "yes", mining on "no"; missions on "no", fleet on "yes"; fleet on "no" (any settings not mentioned are on "doesn't matter"). It seems like filtering is only working correctly if all filters from one end of the filters to the actually "filtering" filter are set to a setting other than "doesn't matter". Not sure what's happening there, the HTML looks okay to me. I suspect there's a problem with forming the SQL query. Other than that, great work. I'm recommending the site to anyone I see looking for a corp or recruiting ;)

Few notes (some may be nitpicking ): You say at the bottom of the page that the site is XHTML complaint and provide a link to validator. However, the site validation fails for XHTL 1.0 strict (about 180 errors). The site doesnÆt look well with Internet Explorer 6 In Firefox 2.0, there is a strange horizontal scroll bar and the right floating boxes (ôcorp logoö, ôyour corp ads hereö, ôstatisticsö) look out of place. Please please please add a ôRoleplayö flag to be able to add and search corps/pilots by their ôroleplayingö status. A simple yes/no will do but a no/casual/fulltime option would be better. I normally pride myself on keeping strict, but it seems over the last few changes i've been making I haven't been checking the validation. Most look like I've simply forgotten to end IMG and HR tags.

But the following pages are inaccessible. The search looses all filters. Also I would like to see a few things added: * ingame search for corporations and pilots. * "Last visited" / "Last updated" information for pilot and corp * Timezone info (dropdown?) for pilots and Timezone selections for corps (multiselect list?) The timezone thing could work like this. Corp is looking for Pilot: the corp can input the timezones of their members in their recruitment info or select it in the pilot search panel. Then they could sort the pilots for compatibility. Pilot is looking for Corp: The pilot can specify his timezone and search for corporations with members in that same timezone. A more flexible and accurate alternative would be a 24h list where the corps and pilots can select on what hours (evetime) they are active. That would be more suited to people who play at unusual hours for their timezone. Very nice website. ---------------------------------------------- The glass is neither half full nor half empty.
