i m an ice miner addick and as such get gank quite often.
So i ve set my overview as i wish.
I can see any ship in the ice belt except exhumers and mining barge and thats just fine with me.
But if i want it to be perfect i want to see my fleet mate mackinaw in the overview.
I know i could use standings to see them but then i wouldn t see the enemy comming for me and that s not what i want.
So i don t see any way to do this if yes please help me.
If there s no way to do it now there should be a way to fix this.

If you want to see a mackinaw, turn exhumers back on. Simples. |

i see a simple way to do this when i right click my fleet mate mackinaw it says " add exhumers to overview"
There should be a line asking " add fleet exhumers to overview"
or "add fleet member to overview"
That way my overview would be perfect.
that way i could see any ship that s not an exhumer or mining barge what ever their standings with me. |

You doesn t get it don t you if there was only a few exhumer in the belt it would pose no problem at all i agree.
But when there are over 40 exhumers and you have to be quick on warp squad you really don t want to see them.
And that s an end of discution.

Set up two seperate tabs. One that shows only people whom you have high standings with. (make sure and set your corp/alliance or any friends to high standing)
Then use the other tab to only ships, but remove indy ships from the tab.
Now you have one tab you can watch for enemy ships and one tab you can watch for friendly ships.
Possibly even set up a 3rd tab that only shows asteroids/ice.
So now you'll have one that only shows friendlies, one that only show non-indy ships, and one that shows only ores/ice.
Since ice doesn't really deteriorate, that tab will only be there so you don't have to use the friendly or non-indy ship tabs to show ores. This will keep thing organized for you. |

For you and others that can't figure out a balanced way to set up your overview settings.
i found a link a long while back during incursion that give you an import for your overview.
The link is free of viruses, and i've run it on several different computers.
This link i'm giving is to an old comment from a player who made the overview settings for this. Follow his directions in the post. It works, and it has several different overview settings that you can play with.
The one thing I have done a little differently is I gave each tab a custom name for what I entended to use them for and I also set every tab to show all brackets, that way I can see things ingame that I can't see on the overview, this way I know when to switch to a different tab.

i know Hellbounman i m doing it like that actually but i m just saying it would be nice to put it all togetter on a same tab. It just an idea. |

Oh, well, if you have 40 macks and you don't want to see them, bring in a discophoon. that'll clear them out. |
