I can't quite put my finger on when it happened but Flinx whatever his name is has definitely devolved into the worst poster on Eve-O.
I'm sure he doesn't give a monkey's what I think but it's kinda nice to go on record about the fact that he really and truly is a complete numpty when it comes to forum posting.

It is without a doubt that Goonfleet is indeed STRONGEST corp in Eve.
Even if they're not the strongest alliance, they still hold a good record of being the strongest corp.
I highly doubt that any BoB corp will be able to beat Goonfleet 1on1

Edited by: Sexorella hotz on 16/05/2007 05:51:18 Sounds like a blast, congrads to all involved in 9-9. I was in the less exciting seige on LXWN, but always glad to hear the war is going well for us everywhere. Sad to say I have to take a couple of weeks off, I hope to come back seeing an alliance victory over the north.
GL to bob against goon, and to MC/Y/Axe/Aftermath/FATAL/MPire and everyone else who has been a great help in the northern theater, can't wait to get back in it! To everyone else, hope you have fun, win or lose a good fight in EVE is what we all play for!
Edit:Tryin to make sure I got all the credit I could remember off hand where it was due

If you ask around nicely you'll be able to obtain the links to lots of people's killboards, if you're then really super-duper smart you'll work out how to look through them.... then.... and here's the truly awesome part.... you'll work out that.... *shock*... there were people other than Goonfleet fighting us tonight. I know it's amazing isn't it?!!
I for one was totally thrilled when I worked out how to engage my brain before posting, just think about how wonderful you'll find it too! You lucky lucky young man you!
P.S. Do feel free to let us all know how you get on with the new and ultra-fashionable checking your facts before you post business, I am sure many of us are dying to know. Good luck and all the best.

But corp-wise, Goonfleet is taking most hits atm.
yeah anyways, I generously took your advice and took a look at BoB's killboard, and it shows about 80-90% of BoB's kills are from Goonfleet
and *shock* there were more then BoB fighting on BoB's side tonight. (BoB & Allies vs Goonfleet & Allies)

where you pull those numbers from spy?
The ******* that posted those number pulled them out of his ass. Anyone that can tell the difference between purp blue green and red can tell that was bs.
The coalition (RA, AAA, GOON) had 70 caps - including 1 MS and 1 titan. I counted them in at their pos as they jumped :)
we engaged their pos and waited for them to jump us - we knew the odds but molle asked us to engage anyway, nobody backed down.
now we'll see how fast goonies can replace cap losses ;)

BoB lost more than any other single alliance on the field tho..
Damage to coalition was spread to 3-4 alliances no?
Of course that doesn't really have much effect since BoB has pretty much infinite ISK

Your coalition friends used that argument after D-T aswell, but up until today they were all afraid to commit capitals against us.
Let's see how fast Goonies can replace those dread losses. ------------------------

Just to clarify - and this is from cross-referencing the BoB KB with RA/AAA and GoonSwarm.
BoB lost 13 Dreads. CoRM lost 1 Dread
Alliance: 14
GoonSwarm lost 13 Capitals (9 Dreads, 4 Carriers) Red Alliance lost 9 Capitals (8 Dreads, 1 Carrier) AAA lost 5 Dreads TCF lost 1 Dread
Coalition: 28 (23 Dreads, 5 Carriers)
So BoB didn't take the biggest loss but the same as GoonSwarm. However, BoB forces were able to loot all 42 Capital wrecks completely (down to the last can).
Draw from this what conclusions you may. These are just hard stats.

Respect to BoB pilots who accepted, again, another challenge by bringing all dreads avaible even outnumbered by 20 capitals.
Thanks to the coalition for the fight.

caps replaced, next question?
...
To both the initial post really and the reply.
From all the wars I've seen so far, if there is one thing I learned about large capital losses, its this: - The number of capitals is just about ALWAYS easy to replace, with the exception perhaps of alliances who overreached or after many many months of fighting. - The only thing that can be 'destroyed' really in such a fight is the will to deploy them.
The dreadlosses ASCN took in the fight against BoB were all-in-all pretty insignificant. But it eventually broke the will of ASCN pilots to deploy their dreads, which is as good as destroying them really in terms of their impact on the war.
What will happen after this fight is unclear. Yes, BoB killed a lot of dreads. On the other hand, they lost a good number as well. As long as RAGOON+AAA don't let themselves get discouraged by this, there is no problem sending another equally big or even bigger dreadfleet into the fight next time. If they have been discouraged, the ability (which they undoubtedly have) to replace the physical losses means very little. signature removed - please contact us to find out why (include the URL of your sig) - Jacques([email protected]) |

Which is exactly why DS1 joining the goons makes no real difference. They shat themselves when they were asked to bring out the dreads then and as you know history is doomed to repeat itself.

Edited by: Florio on 16/05/2007 07:44:58 Thank you to all participants for an awesome fight. Sure, it took half an hour to load up fighters then half an hour again to load up everything else, but that is part of the immovable scenery and all you can do is shrug and be patient.
From a peon's point of view (perhaps incorrect) we were significantly outnumbered on the field in both cap ships and support, but we seemed to have more battleships. I'm sure we lost more dreads then the enemy at the start of the fight, but our unwavering focus saw us out. We appear to have won convincingly although I am sure there will be debate about isk losses given our dread fittings.
Our TS was what I have come to expect from the finely-honed military BoB machine: utter discipline, precise clarity, cool-headed calm. Our logisitics were outstanding as usual.
More please!

This was not about DS1, not sure why you start talking about individual corps. Aside from that it is a premature conclusion IMO. Circumstances change. If DS1 has more faith in their current alliance and friends (notably RA and AAA), their willingness to deploy dreads can very well increase. I've no doubt that flying into battle with the likes of AAA and RA will boost anyone's confidence in a good outcome , which is probably a similar effect that BoB and MC have on the other side. signature removed - please contact us to find out why (include the URL of your sig) - Jacques([email protected]) |

Talking about resources... BoB have more Titans then the whole Coalition all together. I suspect 13 lost dreads won't be any problem for them. Also considering that they did loot the battlefield...
