Lastnight I was looking for targets in Molden Heath, as I was about to jump the gate, there was gate fire...so I decided to wait and see who jumped through...
A covetor uncloaks...nice, as I am shooting him he calls for help and the local do-gooders Namz'aar K'in show up in a Domi and a hurricane and start to shoot at me (how rude! Got the kill though)...
I let them shoot at my passively tanked drake while I waited to jump the gate...30 seconds later I was on the otherside of the gate, warping off to safety...
This got me thinking, should they have been smarter and only had one aggress me, and the other jump the gate ahead of me? How would the best anti-pirate corp have handled that situation, or any situation (ok waiting for 15 minutes for aggression to run out gives a guy time to think)...
So here's my question, who's the best anti-pirate corp...why?? Any good stories about an awesome move one has pulled? Personally I have been engaged by various anti-pirates several times, and in every single case I have been able to jump a gate and get safe...

it always makes me laugh when that happens tbh. the amount of time i've been in insta jump range just waiting for everyone to engage me and then happily jump through expecting someone to follow but they haven't because they've all aggro'd.
i'd say there aren't many true anti pi corps left tbh so hard to say who's the best. i'm not talking about ppl who say in a roleplaying style that they hate pirates, i mean ppl who will not engage non pirates at all and will seek pirates out. very few out there.

as for me i do my best :) Down to all you evil piwates
if they had good damage dealer ships they would have popped u before u jumped if not then one engage the other holds and get ready to jump after u.

Celes when their core group are active are very good and of course my own corp has a bit of history as rat killers

imo i dont think there is any good ap corps out there, there all chickens with horrible pvp experience

Everyone makes mistakes but in general NMTZ and allies are quite good... You'd be surprised, one situation generally isn't enough to judge a corp. Stick around and find out... 
Also, I don't think they would have expected your tank to be that good, you'd be amazed at the noobs that try their hand at pirating...

in the course of nuking shuttles all day, there must be **** loads of pirates travelling to pick up skillbooks in amongst the bears.

LFT are pretty good (Liga).
The worst has to be Vigil (alliance). Every Pirate killboard I visit has them plastered on it, especially their CEO lol

heh - theres a reason why even as a pirate - i will not engage a drake or a myrm while solo. - even my geddon cant ***** a drakes tank without faction gear and a much heftier investment in SP than the drake pilot has - myrms i dont like because they dont sacrifice anything.

The reason there is no good anti-pirates is because of the ridiculous boringness of anti-pirates work.
In my short time in celestial apoc (Celes FTW!) we did manage to kill a few pirates. However, for the most part pirates run the second a challenge comes into local. This is half because they are cowards and half because they are not fit for fighting other pvpers but fit for blowing up people not paying attention.

Hmmm..guess your experience is limited...as,according to records Pirate Coalition corps in ops against NMTZ..come out somewhat short..and in the little tussle with Octobersnow..ship losses were around the same but ISK losses..well...2.5 to 1 against OS.
On a personal note..see you made some kills without a loss..so fair play..but in general...a lot more red against the corps you were associated in against NMTZ..than green on the killboards.

I'd say CVA but they are not a corp and their roleplaying is creepy.
Generally speaking antipies suck. They are just not dedicated enough to cut it. Then they whine about pirates not deliberately flying into their blob. Also they have laughable response times and only go out to hunt in numbers. Of course there are a lot of pirates who don't do better, but this is a thread about antipies.

We dont have anti-pie list. I never saw anti-pie, maybe I did, but didnt know that, they are disguised as pvpers or something else.
You only know it if someone told you, or you found out it from dudes bio..
So hard to say.

I would say NMTZ and Celes are the most important anti-pirates and not so bad in pvp. But in general anti-pirates go down in flames, because they tend to bring sweet 10+ gangs with only frigs, cruisers and 1 or 2 BS .... and thats why they usually go down in flames. It takes them to long to make decisions in dangerous situations ... YAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!11

So was celes going through a bad patch or have they shut down entirely?
They seems to have dissapeared from A-1 although Snigg/BOS still live and hunt in mn5n.
I only had a couple of fights vs CELES although I had heard a lot about them before we came to Fountain.

We are basically a 0.0 corporation, which is asides our 0.0 goals, strongly affiliated towards anti-piracy. We like to hunt down pirates.
Though I must confess, that it is one of the hardest things to do...
Like someone else said, Pirates are there for ganking people, quickly lock and scramble and they are all in it for the easiest way to make isk. There to gank, not to fight. Most pirates do run, even if numbers are equal. They are more looking into 5 vs 2, etc. So the odds are in their favor ofcourse and they mostlikely win.
Again, I understand that reasoning, as that is what pirates are and do. And our job is to trick them into a fight, make sure they go for baits, etc. Which is not the easiest way allways.
I must say I loved fighting that pirate alliance up northwards around M-OEE chokepoint. I think it was fatal persuasion. Those pirates are really in for a good fight most of the time. The area around resbroko, egghelende is fun sometimes as well.
And ginger magician's corp is mostly in for a nice carrier loss once in awhile as well, with the needed smack attached to it, et.

kinsy always has a way of making his posts look like the world is ending:).
his points were that 0.0 warfare was becomming a joke, celes apoc gangs of 5 ships were being doomsdayd by titans , MS were being cynod into our cruiser gangs. (sort it CCP, stop being silly).
due to RL stuff that happens every summer we are down leaders, normally we work through it, this time we decied to hibernate the corp untill late 2007, with most of our members joining diff corps, those who remained decided to relax, or kill pirates.
when we return it will be with new plans and a new direction, and hopefully some nice new toys.
