After returning to EVE online, A lot has changed in several years and with the mentioned phasing out of Player owned Structures and starbases in favor of citadels and the like, I thought of some things to help improve it:
1. Increase the level of ships Alphas can pilot to Battleships, namely to increase their desireability within Corporate warfare and survivability in general, you can never have enough firepower in negotations. I would push the agenda for mining barges but that is something I feel is unlikely to happen. 2. Bestow access to Planetary Interaction, enable them to perform more research/invention jobs, better resource processing such as access to Metallurgy and Astrogeology, and access to utility skills such as the ability to market buy and accept contracts throughout a region. Drug manufacturing would be a nice addition considering its a desireable industry to get into and creates a demand for gas harvesting, since I remember making easy cash producing boosters. 3. A Replacement for Starbases if they are truly intending to remove them, I have an idea I'd like to call Mobile Facilities. Structures that can be easily deployed and packed up whenever needed, such as Mobile Shipyard (For ship repair and subcapital manufacturing, cannot produce t2 vessels), Mobile Refinery (Can refine and compress ore), and a Mobile Manufacturing Plant (For Ship equipment, charges, and boosters) to meet both the demands of individual players and alliances to favor the ability to be relocated to meet the needs of on the go fleets and industrialists. 4. Fix the bounty system, I remember the 2009 bounty system and it worked fine despite people letting their friends pop them for the money, or at least adjust the bounty payout appropriate to the value of Assets they own in the region. I'm tired of getting gypped for whenever I have the chance to gank someone with 10mil price tag on their head and earn a decent profit. 5. Make it so some special edition ships like the Gnosis can receive proper insurance according to its value |

1. Alpha is an unlimited free trial. Not meant to replace subs. No.
2. No unlimited pi alts for free. No way in hell.
3. Called structures. They are already here.
4. It is fixed. What you remember was what was broken.
5. What's the 'proper' value of a special edition ship?

Well I thought it be more prudent for Alphas to have access to battleships because it encourages players to either buy Plex and or Omega time in order to acquire the skills and the ship in a timely manner. It be nice though tonhave access to some more utility skills, namely Labratory Operation, Mining Drone operation, and some from the trade and social skills because it makes playing a little bit more fluid. |

It's important to consider how an Omega player can abuse any Alpha account changes:
1. Free structure bashing alts.
2. Unlimited, free PI alts. Unlimited, free research alts. Unlimited, free manufacturing alts.
And how changing an Alpha can give it unprecedented access:
1. Ability to complete L4 missions in a timely fashion, and better ratting like some high sec incursions and null/wormhole sites.

Alpha's should have no abilities that give them utility for an Omega player to get tons of accounts and benefit significantly with brief log-ins.
What MUST remain with alphas is the following.
1. NO additional passive income (to fund omega's PvP) 2. No cloak (to give omega's unlimited scouts) 3. No cyno skills (to give omega's unlimited neutral cyno dropping) 4. No invention or T2 manufacturing (removing all limits on manufacturing for a player)
I'm actually not in favor of the 1 research slot that Alpha's get now to use to improve BPO's. I also think Alpha's already get too many market slots.
An alpha account should only be of any real use to a new player figuring things out. Not to an Omega player for buffing their main's gameplay.

Well for the most part im okay with the first three but for the last one, All im suggesting is we get a little fluidity in some aspects and minor quality of play utility improvements, and a couple levels of Laboratory operation wont kill anyone because we would still have be in station to deliver them. I disagree with you on that and realistically, improving BPOs is very time consuming before becoming profitable as in some ways, its cheaper to break into a level 1 data site, grab some decryptors and Data nodes, and make a line of 30 copies, or just purchase BPCs from an R&D corporation like I have been for the past week. For us to produce an efficient T2 BP requires the needed specialization, much less the fact producing it in a timely manner, you kind of lose out on ISK.
Ehh, I feel we get a fair amount of market slots and considering some of us in the industrial and merchantile focus are trying to pawn off whatever crap we manage to acquire, with forementioned merchants who deal in cargo shifting from hubs. For us to get some basic additions like Mining Drone operation, Drug manufacturing, and laboratory operation is not going to be harmful, especially since those of us that make our money mining and manufacturing. Your average Alpha can pretty much can make good amount of money within an Hour, for example, a client of mine managed to make 30mil just by salvaging. I just want to suggest access to some more logistical skills to improve the quality of play. |

^^
Why would they ever sub or buy plexes when they can make unlimited passive isk? Or run level4's/incursion in a bs? What else is there to sub for?
