when you don't train skill Accounting and you buy 500 Plex from CCP
10 plex they take from you when you sell it for isk so this means when you buy 500 plex you get only 490 plex for your $ It goes to a money sink of CCP
With
Accounting I, 491 plex Accounting II, 492 plex Accounting III, 493 plex Accounting IV, 494 plex Accounting V, 495 plex
I think allot do not think of this and this just means when you would buy their 15400 Plex pack you get only 14630 Plex because 5% vanish in a money sink that is $20,00 from your $500 |

No. but let me explain :
You buy 1 PLEX you get 1 PLEX. Whatever you like to do with it once redeemed is YOUR CHOICE. I like to use PLEX to Tank my ships, that gets taxed very heavily once you encounter pirates. but If you like to buy clothes, skins you are "TAXFREE". When you add a sendond, third training queue for 30 days, "TAXFREE". If you like to extend your sub 30 days, "TAXFREE" The skill extractor is a more complex story, it is TAXFREE to extract and one on one trade but will be taxed if trades through the market or contracts.
Best thing is to sell it directly buy talking in local chat, Right click on the name > Trade > Drag the item into the Trade Window > Accept > Done. Oh, and make sure the other player actually select pay ISK as you can see the amount he wants to give in green on the trade window.
You can reduce the sales tax with accounting skill only. And the Broker fee -If you set the price different than instant sale - can be reduced with faction and corp standing. [ 3%-(0.1%*BrokerRelationsLevel)-(0.03%*FactionStanding)-(0.02%*CorpStanding) ]. You can see this as a tax on lazy/passive trading.

ISK is printed out of thin air with bounties, mission rewards, when you sell items to NPCs, etc. So there must be a way to remove that said ISK or else the amount flowing into the game will just keep ballooning and the value of isk will drop to nothing. Sales tax is one of the ways this happens. Otherwise, inflation would be out of control in this game (and it already is, but this would make it even worse). |

and no i dont have a citadel in perimeter ;-) the citadels have a .1% brokers fee which is spent when placing the order, the sales tax is 1-2% based on skills and is taken at time of sale.

This whole statement is complete bollocks from the start.
Firstly, you get no tax when you buy things from the New Eden Store. If something costs 500 PLEX, you pay 500 PLEX.
Secondly, in order to say with confidence that CCP takes 5 PLEX from you by means of sales tax, you've got to have a constant ISK price of a PLEX to use as a reference point, while there is none. You can sell PLEX through buy orders or sell orders and in different trade hubs. Heck, you can even scam some poor idiot into buying 1 PLEX at the cost of 500 to you.
Everyone in the market plays by its rules. Whether you can use them to your advantage is up to you.

If you are a buyer of ISK for real money, a pretend money tax is meaningless. You just buy more PLEX to cover it.
It's the RMT premium and no one who RMTs is going to not do it because of an in game ISK tax. The whole argument is moot.

Why yes, that is how tax works.
Let's say you earn 20k a year, but are taxed 20% of that. You ONLY earn 16k for your hard work! That's a scam! That's 4k of your 20k!

Increase your price to account for the taxes.
In reality... this is already baked into the market. In states where there is a 5% sales tax, retailers increase the price you pay by 5%. It doesn't matter if they advertise it as a base price and add tax to it... or they advertise a single price and subtract the tax from it... either way the purchaser effectively pays the tax.

Obviously a flaw of capitalism. I say we do a socialist model and tax everyone 100% and evenly distribute it to everyone.

that's why they should do a wipe instead of just taxing everyone little by little, if you get a tax you just aim to make even more isk to over come the tax bye covering up your purchases via more isk making or when you sale something on the market it gets marked up to cover the isk loss you would see.
