I'm terrible at math and can't crunch any #s for you, but it's a fairly unique idea (yeah, putting ACs on Amarr ships isn't "new"). I say give it a shot.
Besides, the 'Geddon is kind of a sexy ship (2nd sexiest, toppled by the Apocolypse and almost by the Stabber).
In the name of good looks and liberal ship-fitters everywhere, go for it.

5% a level is a huge deal. At BS 4, because few people go 5 unless they want cap ships. That reduces the rof to 80%. That is about a 25% damage increase. If you are going to fly amarr go missiles. Also if your drone skills are above half a mil get into a domi. They can run tanks forever with decent cap mods and skills.

An apoc with autos would do more dps,have more cap etc...If your going to fly a geddon i recommend putting mega pulses on it.

Ac's on a geddon is a bad idea. Ac's on an apoc is better since you dont get a damage bonus anyway.
however, there is no way you will ever run lvl 4 missions with AC's and no damage bonus - an apoc with 8x 800 t2's and good skills + hail will only have about 400 dps plus drones, and thats once you get to range.

If you want use autocannons on Amarr ship, put them on Abaddon or Apocalypse where you're only losing 1 bonus instead both bonuses.
AC apoc is far better pvp-ship than pulse-apoc. AC Abaddon can put awesome tank.

Yeah, IF you want to disgrace the Amarr ships with AC's, then do it to the Apoc, it's a far better tanker than the Geddon.

The Minmatar BSes are perfectly fine as tbh. If you think the phoon isnt cutting it the issue may lie in your sp since that is hands down the most sp intesive BS in game. Since you prefer armor tanks id say use a tempest. At least youll get dmg bonus from the ACs and that seems to be where your skills are.

abaddon is what your looking for but tbo train for lasers to use amarr, they are worth it when you get trained up

Thanks folks. The reason i chose the Geddon was the price, but due to your input i think i shall shy away from crossing the Amarr way and maybe go Gallente and train Hybrids. Thanks again
