Some people "my guess Ginger was one of them" poored craploads of isk into buying tractor beam BPOs with the intention to resell them at the increased price. Yes they take cap ship components and cost in the area of the cheapest cap ships but so what? There are mods out there that cost more than a cap ship...doesn't make the mod a cap ship. Look at the largest crude oil tankers in the world. They are larger than a modern American super carrier (which is definitely a capital ship). Would you call an oil tanker (basically a freighter) a capital ship? Nope. - Freighters can fly in hi sec - Freighters can use jump gates - Freighters do NOT need the cap ship skill to fly Freighter =/= Capital Ship

A quick look at the skill, gives the following description: "Skill at the construction of capital ships." Ergo, Freighters are Capital Ships

So to review: Pros: Cap ship parts Cap ship construction Cap ship category Cap ship cost ASSC to fly Cons: Doesn't take Cap ship skill to fly. 5 to 1. Smells like Cap ship.

Its by definition a fighting battleship, and probably the biggest one, although equally big ones might not be capital ships. You could debate which battleship qualifies until the cows come home comparing the build of different ships, but it's NEVER the supplyship with no armor and no weapons, completely dependent on escorts to survive any attacks. Sure it has triple hulls, but that's about it. Or would you follow a garbage barge into battle on the high seas?
