I got into nullsec on my second day and killed a Battleship
-my ship Executioner 100dps
Archon 500k bounty. took about 5 minutes (Pulse lasers tech 3. tight orbit of 1000m)
tried on a 650k bounty battleship and could not break tank.
Ive killed about 20 battleships so far, but its a rinse and repeat.
1. Apart from missions and scanning what else is there to do.
2. I fitted a web and scram and ive sat in belts and no one has come near me.
If there is a pre existing sticky could you let me have a link.
Thanks

Welcome to Eve! Glad to see people getting out of highsec. So there is many more activities you can do. Killing NPC's and scanning down data and relic sites are good for making isk, but imo (and others can object) I don't enjoy these for fun. My fun is PvP activities killing other players. Best places to go are faction warfare lowsec (such as the black rise region). You don't have to join fw to fight there but I would suggest it so you can fly with friends. You will use mostly frigates and destroyers so it won't break the bank either, and you can loot enemy wrecks to gain back some isk.
Edit: in fw space many of your fights will be in fw complexes. And read up on heavily camped systems like Tama!

If you're running around nullsec unmolested, I'm guessing you are in Providence as a neutral.
You won't find people mining in belts because sovereign systems have mining anomalies that have much higher quality ore.
Nonetheless, if you are killing battleships in nullsec as a 2 day old Alpha, I guarantee there are a lot of nullsec corporations who would love to recruit you - resumes like that aren't seen very often!
Talk to Karmafleet, Pandemic Horde or Brave Newbies. All are Alpha friendly. An idea of what to expect: https://wiki.braveineve.com/public/dojo/wiki/alpha-clones

Thanks for the replies
I have not been to providence yet
I started in Aridia then went to Delve and finished in Stain before going back on myself to find a training book so i could form a corp.
Lots of systems with Bees in them. no one came anywhere near me
DPS up to 104 so i started taking out 650k battleships.
Only once did i run into a giant bubble that stopped me but no one was around so i went around it.

Thats good man, I started pvping about 3 or 4 weeks into the game back in the day, You are doing great just by the fact that you are flying and getting experience pewing. Keep going out every day if you can thats how I hardened up. And do lot's of research obviously. Experimentation is key and dont be scared.

Eve is definitely a game that is best in groups. You don't have to join the first corp that you find but I would definitely start looking for one. If you enjoy playing where you are currently then talk to people in local chat. You can right-click and then show info on them and then from there click on their corp and alliance and see if they have any recruiting or public chat channel info posted.
The main point is to talk with other players and make friends with some vets that can show you the ropes and answer some of your questions.
Also there are general public chat channels that are open to anyone that are not associated with any corp or alliance like Cara Forelli's channel: House Forelli which I have just included in my signature
Want to talk? Join Cara's channel in game: House Forelli

Wow! Goons must be mellowing out in their old age! The most densely populated region in nullsec and, the last time I checked, NBSI. |

Yea this seems a bit odd.
I am laughing tho... Thinking about some fresh newbro, whistling while he works, ratting in Delve. The whole time Goons are waiting for the other boot to drop.
Every alt I own has a red safety, this has brought my friends much laughter.

The Bees did finally get me about 4 jumps into their systems. I warped into a bubble which gave me no time to get away.
but i was 50 jumps from amarr and my crystals were at 95% damage so i was trying to be sent home quickly.
It only takes a few battleships to cover the cost of the ship :)
So much fun to be had in this game, although going back to highsec was strange. Im trying to keep an eye on six people in local and suddenly there are 300 people in local and im on a gate with 6 other people.
I think i am probably going sub to this game its pretty good |
