Hey I've been away for a bit and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to give a general update on some of the big alliance happenings lately. Some things I was curious about were:
* BoB and D2 * Is IRON back in business? * Who rules the north? * Who is EWOK? (Evoke) * What happened to the Privateers? * Who the hell is FoF, NXT and the Triumvirate?
Anyway that may be too much to ask, but I thought I'd give it a go.
Thanks in advance fellow space monkeys.

I'll try to clear up at least a part of what you're asking about.
* BoB and D2 The fight is still going on but nowadays it's more like BoB vs D2's friends, since D2's fighting force is far from what it once was and even at their top it wasn't all that great.
* Is IRON back in business? I don't know enough about that to fill you in.
* Who rules the north? It's a battlefield. The strongest single alliance in the north is Triumvirate but the old inhabitants give us a decent fight about it by banding together.
* Who is EWOK? (Evoke) ev0ke is a new alliance that was formed by 3 corps who left D2. Their main strength is that they have a Titan in the alliance, when the pilot is logged off you will not see much off them.
* What happened to the Privateers? CCP improved the wardec system so they can't afford to have 100 simultaneous wardecs and thus turning high sec empire into 0.0
* Who the hell is FoF, NXT and the Triumvirate? Triumvirate is a new but very strong alliance based on the love of PvP. If you come up north you will probably find yourself fighting us pretty soon. I'll leave it for others to explain FoF and NXT. As far as I know FoF are the missiles you load up when you're jammed out....

NXT and FOF are both quasi-carebear alliances that live half in empire, half in pure blind from what I've heard.

BoB and D2
The original post to this war was a declaration of intent by SirMolle, on the 9th February, 2007. It was originally intended I believe against AAA/RA, and the original post can be found at: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=473050
D2, whom I believe was under the impression that the attack by BoB would be directly against them, posted several hours later that they were to be involved in operations against BoB, and this spurred many other forces (RAZOR, Morsus Mihi to name but two) to become involved in what was a rapidly growing conflict.
Delve was relatively quiet (bar roaming squads) throughout the first month, and the vast majority of the fighting was done in Querious, with RAZOR/Iron/PURE/Morsus and several other factions trying to take ED-L9T from FIX.
AAA decided to jump in on the fact that the Mercenary Coalition were away from home, nailing several towers in MC's constellation deep in Period Basis. MC were at the time in the North conducting operations which resulted in the first death of a Mothership ingame. http://www.stk-s.com/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=6646
MC then showed their logistical presence by relocating their Capital Fleet across the Galaxy, back to Period Basis, to defend their home. It results in the loss of a Capital Ship Assembly Array (that was producing a Hel-class Mothership), however, all other attempts at taking the system were halted, with the loss of I believe two MC/allied carriers.
D2, on the other hand deployed to Foutnain, and began attacking several systems. BoB used this to effectively beat off the fight on both fronts, and Coalition capital losses were heavy.
F-T was a whole other story. Coalition forces believed a Titan to be in production, and a victory here would have been a tremendous boost to Coalition Morale. A heavy defence force was deployed, consisting of several hundred pilots over 4 systems, to beat back the waves of Coalition. Much lag ensued (note: server did not crash), and after several hours of fighting, the POS, and Capital Ship Array was indeed destroyed. However, the cost came heavy, as 50+ Coalition Capital Ships died in the slaughter.
SirMolle confirmed several days after, that a Leviathan class Titan was in Production: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=500299
This was, however, in vain - as an April Fool's joke. 24 hours later, and the true declaration confirmed that the Array was empty, and that this had been some smart counter-intelligence on behalf of BoB. An Aeon was produced in the second Shipyard in system - not the one that was attacked. http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=500938
The Mercenary Coalition moved North, and began attacking D2 in the North. P-2TTL was the first system to fall, much to the cheers of the many ISS Members who used to live in the station. It was somewhat symbolically renamed 'MC Borealis', after the MC originally assisted in ISS' deployment of the Outpost.
As more of BoB's 'pets', and friends moved North, several other systems up North fell. C4C, L5D all succombed, however neither with the same resistance and grit that D2 put up in P-2.
Deklein fell in similar fashion. IRON had moved out of the area when this war kicked off, and had left their systems lightly defended. FLA put up a fight, however many weeks of fighting with no support left them with little hope. Deklein and Pure Blind is currently under Alliance control.

Edited by: Phoenus on 20/05/2007 19:32:08 The current state of play would be that D2 are in their home around Tenal, defending BKG from hostile incursions. Morsus I believe have moved back to Tribute, and BoB have taken the fight to Goonswarm/Red Alliance by capturing the station in 9-980U (Tenerifis). http://scrapheap-challenge.com/viewtopic.php?p=127625#127625
This came at a price, as BoB sacrificed 14 Dreadnaughts to kill 24 RA/Goon Dreadnaughts and 5 Carriers. http://killboard.red-alliance.info/?op=fleet&name=63
Fun times ahead, and this fight is by no means over.
Is IRON back in business?
I'm not entirely sure where IRON is based atm, they have lost their space in Deklein, but they are by no means out of this, and will not let go without a fight.
Who rules the north?
It's a Battlefield, throughout. Trium, MC, YouWhat, Corelium (sp?) and lots of other alliances are fighting D2 for their space. How it will turn is not yet decided, however whichever way it turns, lots of blood will be spilt.
Who is EWOK? (Evoke)
Ev0ke are an offbreak of 3 D2 corps who left (including one of the Titan corps). They are, I believe, currently helping Ushra'Khan, alongside Outbreak, in their fight against the CVA. http://killboard.outbreak-eve.com/?a=kill_related&kll_id=258280

Are you the village idiot? Seems so as you dont seem to have much of a clue about the things you talk about.
Tri, strongest alliance in the north - yeah you wish. Just because you joined the bandwaggon and put up a few ppl in a blob that rolls over d2 atm doenst make you strong in any way. Before that you catched the dump in the belts and moved into venal as soon as toxin left. And before that you where in PB.
When you talk about us, how about u ask your friends in the alliance chat who we are, we where the ppl that made you dock. And no matter if our titan was online or not. Cause when we left d2, we moved into venal to get you to a decet fight. We have put pos in the key system, we romaed around and waited for tri, not to appear except in docking range or on a SS. After a few days off, "lets get someone aggro and alpha him afterwards" we went to to other regions as venal is plain boring.

Yeah, I guess you'd never jump on some sort of large band wagon, a coalition if you will, in order to take out a common enemy. You'd never try and blob someone and then run away when it's clear you weren't going to beat them. Shame on me for being part of an alliance that fought back when you brought the fight to fountain.

Wrong, we moved into a npc region that is occupied by an alliance that claims themself of "pvp pros" that fight everywhere and whatnot, and all we got was docking games and the excuss was, "you got a titan somewhere in space"

I'm not 100% sure on what you just said, but from what I know about Tri, they love fair fights. They do right to be wary of getting doomsdayed, whenever an enemy titan pilot is kicking about you have to be careful when it comes to fleet movements. There's nothing fun about getting DDD'ed when it could have been avoided. You say "pvp pros" like you could waste them easily, how about you log that titan off and bring somewhat fair numbers to Tri. Surely that would be better for everyone involved? Except for Tom I guess

VinceNoir, its time to stop posting buddy... you're doing nothing but a disservice to your alliance... plain and simple.
I dont See your corp in dek, only Vigilance Infinitas and.... Shadows of the Dead... is the only Aftermath corp I've personally seen in our raids through dek... We're having fun, and hope your guys are as well...
As for all the smack about IRON stations... there's a reason we didn't have more than one POS in each station system... We knew when we left the area to fight in Querious that there was the distinct possibility of our space being steamrolled and as such we evacuated all military assets and left up one pos to maintain sovreignty...
Looks like we were right about being steamrolled, 60 capitals... not much you can do about that... but its turned things fun for a while... hope the fun keeps going... even if the normal engagement in JU-OWQ is generally 2 carriers with 10-20 bs hugging the station... BUT, we got a nice couple fights today... and thats the way we like it...
In summary, is IRON back in business? We never closed our doors tbh... We just don't have stations atm... and with nothing to defend we are indeed having fun... |

IMO triumverate are the weakest alliance in the north at the moment. They don't even hold any space. They live in NPC stations and smack more than they fight.
MC should also be held accountable for their bias here as rumor has it, those groups living in venal are fighting (poorly) out of MC's pocket.

Fixed it for you.
Originally by: Gyro DuAquin1 Wrong, we moved into a npc region that is occupied by an alliance that claims themself of "pvp pros" that fight everywhere and whatnot, and all we got was docking games and the excuss was, "you got a titan somewhere in space"
Ok, you are now the guy with that hat "village idiot" make sure that you get it from the guy at page 1 pls. *made applause*
Have you been there, cause I cant rember your name from any local in venal, wherent you one of the station jockies in fountain? That now claims to be an important part of the norther offensive?
Our alliance is 50% of the size of Tri, so our gang was round about 30 peeps, bs heavy, when we roamed around in that so called "claimed" terretory but we faced no resitance, Tri could have brought easily 30 peeps or more, local indicated that and they had such numbers as they ganked multiple carriers from some random ppl that where too cool to watch local.
So we anchored 3 POS in 3 Station system, to check out what tri would do, what they did was ganking ppl somewhere in low sec, and griefing venal resident alliances in docking range. So after a weekend full of Excuses like "you have a logged off titan and mom somwhere" we dismanteld our POS and moved out of venal towards providence.
So when you are want to fight against tri, get yourself in a belt with a carrier and wait a few minutes, or get a few long range bs, make yourself look foolish by jumping out and then kill faction fitted t2 ships with long range bs.

have to give a credit to gyro. Tri is maybe present on the forums and maybe they fight very well and brave but to be hones. it takse more to be a powerhouse in the north or generally in eve. much more. maybe they will have it in the future but for now, they are just using a vaacuum that was generated when D2 fell apart and MC/YW slaughtered the rest of D2. If it comes to a real fight for venal i dont give Tri much chances to resist long enough, simpy because the isk is missing. on the other hand, what i heard they are knowledgebale fighters, and in eve only this counts. Well if you have the money to pvp ofc.

good writeup, very detailed and neutral approach. well you forgot only 2 things.
1st: LV lost their teritory to RAGoon, is now fighting back and lost a babytitan in a cap. ship yard.
2nd: BoB slaughtered the first D2 Erebus and made significant damage to the BandwagonCoalitions morale.
You wrote it but just to make it 100% shure again: Coalition waisted 50 Capital ships to kill an empt BoB Capital shipyard.
oh and one thing i nearly have forgoton to: AAA lost a mothership to (cant remember who but i think it was FALL) which was comepletely tech1 fittet (OMG we still laugh about that tbh).

I may be wrong here but I'm pretty sure the MS you are refering to was flown by an I.A.C pilot by the name of Gerontiq of [NOVAS] corp. He was taken down in Tenerifis by a combined fleet of LV Caps and ISS/former ISS support. Which I do believe the Lad VinceNoir ^^ was resposible for cyno duty's and fraps of the occasion.

I don't know about their capital capability, but as far as I have seen Triumvirate has the best fleet commanders among entire north alliances.
Don't forget that when triumvirate decided to leave coalition (because d2 promised IRON and TRIUM same constallation as lame act), then FIX front started collapsing. Thus it was a key loss for d2 I think, and when Triumvirate was commanding coalition fleets, win/loss ratio was way much better.
