"Rant on forums" ?? hahaha , ok , i guess forums are for the pc crowd . And to let everyone know , it was in a hidden plex , not a known belt . And last , but not , least .... he's a dead man , he just dosn't know it yet . In case you missed the whole point , my biggest question is ... how can a thief be given safe haven ? Make him wander the system for 15 minutes , would make it more 'realistic'.

i agree with all but that statment. There are asteroid belts in RL, we just don't mine them yet.
When I mine in high sec my Retreiver has a warp scrambler mounted. They steal, they get screammed, I sic the dones on them, they send me money not to pop them. Eazy Peezy

Heres an idea. Buy a hulk, put 2 cargo expander rigs on it, 2 t2 cargo expander modules, and have yourself 17,199m3 of space. Then mine directly into cargo and drop at station when full. Almost as much space as a jetcan and 0% chance of getting your ore stolen.

 GAH OMG NOOOOES, shhhhhh don't enlighten the jet can miners as to how to play defensivly and protected thier assests! I have mouths to feed.

Why is someone stealing your ore 'a moron'. I respect any profession in Eve and ore thieving is a profession. Hardly moronic when you spend 600k on a hauler and make more money than that in one run in ore thieving. Sounds like a good money making low skill point profession!
Not all of them are. But I've met a fair number who steal ore in ships with pathetic tank and no tackling. Those who don't fit to counter a barge's drones are the morons.
