I personally have never seen this before, but since castor I have been exploring deep in 0.0, wich have resulted in finding several hidden belts, and somethimes even something special in a hidden belt.
Here I present a harvester drone nest.
Its been said before that there "could" be rouge drones, just some stories I read.
I never really believed it untill I found this.
You can scoop the drones and then use them like they are your own.
here you can see I deployed the droens I took, they are now under my command.
Ive been monitoring the nest and so far it grows 2 harvesters each day.

oh btw, you can notice the roids in some pictures.
Like I said, the nest is in a hidden belt FAR away from the original belt.

i'd have to see this for myself, but this weirdly resembles a known bug wich has been around since castor; wich is getting a ghost image of drones after they've been called back. A screenshot of this bug can be found in screeshots in the eve insider section of this website.

And this isnt a place where he have been putting out his harvesters and then trys to sell the location ??
And then... "oh they must be out then wait until they respawn"

first of all, there must be 50 of them, look.
Now those who believe its a scam, so be it, but please leave some space for those who might be interested.
Its a discussable deal, leave it or take it.
I have no intrest to discuss this.

Does the belt also have arkanor?
That would greatly increase its potential value.
And is it in alliance-controlled territory? (I'm assuming yes if arkanor is present, but you never know.)

Another point to notice is that I have never been able to scoop "unclaimed/lost" drones into my drone bay. Have to put in cargo, go dock and put in drone bay.
Also IF this is real, why are there so many? Are these shots of the first visit?
How long did you stay to check the spawn rate?
Still looks like the ghosting to me.

Anyone who uses harvesters and take them in/out of the dronebay a couple of times knows that Ac3s are trying to scam you with an old graphical bug 
All the angels and the puny men of god looked away...

More than likely this "nest" of harvesters was left there when the unlucky miner had massive rats spawn on him. Realizing that a bship is worth more than the harvesters, he warped away and left the drones behind. Just my take on the scenario. :)

Also, looking at the drones, they all appear attached to something, like a now non-existant roid. When free flying, don't their little legs fold up into a single point?

I can do that same "harvy spawn" in every belt I want to, its just some bug, thats all. You cant collect them.... Infact I dont realy like this, its not nice to fly 100 harvys all over the screen

Given all the scam discussion a completely different spin is the fact, that the price for Harvester has dropped again. I didn't manage to find Harvesters 3 weeks ago when I was in dire need and the prices at that time were between 3-4 Million. Now you can get Harvesters in endless supply at a price of about 500k per piece. So how can that be?
With this fact in mind, I think there is a chance that this post might be true.

deal = done.
1 player bought the location for a large ammount of isk and we came to an agreement to keep it a secret (so he can profit from it).
I might come back when I find another nest next time and will reveal more info since alot of people are sceptic about this and dont quite believe it.

I've never heard of them going much above 500k, unless someone was specifically trying to rip you off. :)
I think whoever bought that location got SCAMMED. Please post here if you did. Or even if you didn't, just to let us know that it wasn't a scam.

oh wait, no I didn't, but just proving a point that it doesn't matter much if somebody here comes and posts whether or not it is a scam unless they have some sort of known good reputation already...
If somebody did truly pay for the location, more power to them, hope they got what they were looking for... I doubt it though...

I dont think its a scam.because on the back of the eve box it show a pic of a giant ship hulk which i also saw a pic on this site with that same hul and drones flying and it was the story about rogue drones.i think its pretty cool if the drones can break of from their master ans survive and adapt on their own and mine or and somehow refine it by adapting to their enviorment and make more drone and build a giant nest.If it is a scam i hope someone find s you and then pods your goofey slef. :)

maybe they are not rogue drones just abandoned and suriviing on their own,i wonder if the eve team made the game engine like that.cause eve has its own economy maybe its possible for the drones to survive on their own with out the eve team intending on it.CAuse maybe the engine thinks on its own or something like that to a certain extent.that would be cool if the game could think on its ow and different things could adapt and theres not telling what u will find on the other side of the galaxy cause it might have adapted or something that would be awesome! :)

3) I've been in beta and explored more than you can imagine.
4) for the most part, there is nothing special in 0.0 non-empire space except ore.
I like the part about having the buyer remain silent. That will leave us in limbo forever.

There is a bookmark for a secret harvester drone spawn sitting in Escrow in Sing Laison Region... I saw it last nite while doing agent missions... 
No such signature...
