ok, just curious, i know how you take sovreingnty, just wondering, where can you take sovreignty, i know you cant take is from NPC corp's or what ever, however, can you take sovreingnty from any system without sov or which has a player alliance already in control of it? or is it only specific systems and how can you tell which systems these are? thanks
also, i did check this out, but could only find more info on how you take sov, not where

Essentially you can claim any areas of 0.0 that are not held by NPC's
NPC 0.0 are areas such as Syndicate or Outer Rings.
As most if not all 0.0 is claimed by someone, then don't expect to just walk in and help yourself to a slice. The current hosts will fight tooth and nail to keep it.

Assuming you're in 0.0, look into the top left corner of your screen, where you find the system name.
There you see: "Sovereignty > ..." If you see nothing in that place, noone claims sov.

hmm, so, in a 0.0 system i see now Sovreingty Tab, does this mean it is conqureable or does this mean it isnt, should it say Sovreignty> (nothing) if it is allowed to be taken?

Well, when you are in the Amarr region you see something like Sovereignty - Amarr Empire, thats npc so dont try there:P.
When ur in 0.0 and you see Sovereignty - Band of Brothers. you could but well...i wouldnt. point is you could take over sovereignty but as said theyll fight hard to keep it.
If theres no word or mention of sovereignty in your screen its unclaimed and takeable, you can double check on your map/Stars map/Color stars by/Sovereignty(takes a while to load)/then select all alliances and ull see All claimed and unclaimed systems.
Hope it helps.

Edited by: Aira Phlux on 13/08/2007 12:22:56 Firstly you have to be an alliance to take sov.
Sov is automatically claimed when POSs are erected with the "Claim sov" tick box checked on the tower options. The alliance with the most sov claiming POSs in the system gets Sov. A large tower is worth 4 "points" a medium 2 and small 1. So if you have a large tower and your competition has only a medium; you would get sov.
To see "who" claims sov in different areas, go to your "star map" (F10) and change the "color by" option to sov. It will take a little while for it to render the galaxy but evetually you should be able to see what is available and what isn't. -------------------------------------------- The most common phrase on the Eve-O forum of late is: "Oh the irony". It is usually being used to describe hypocrisy which is in itself, ironic.

Correct, Curse, Venal, Syndicate, Outer Ring and Stain are all regions that fully covered with NPC sov, hence not claimable. -----
