I won't post any spoilers (yet). I want to see what others think first. Opinions? Flames? etc?

I was slighty disappointed to be honest. And yeah it didn't really make sense.
SPOILERS
Why was everyone acting like shooting Peter would kill him? He regenerated after the glass shard was pulled from his head, a bullet should be no different.
Why did he need Nathan to fly up with him? Surely he could fly off himself.
Why did Sylar let Hiro stab him so easily?
Felt like they just ignored these inconsistencies for the sake of added drama. Also the fight with Sylar at the end was highly anticlimactic and all that stuff about love conquering all was a bit too soppy. --------------

It seemed so anti-climatic when they flew off together.
I think the producers took the cowardly way out by not having Clair shoot him. Had she done so, they could have continued to build her character in such a way to show that she had a huge case of regret and anger at her real dad that he didn't do anything to help.
It just seemed so "un-Hero" the way it ended...

You mean the other she refers to? The one who can see her. Interesting twist, unfortunately, possibly too little, too late to save the finale. Most of what happened could have been seen coming, after the trips into the future with Hiro.
Certain defining moments make the future what it was, the explosion, the death of Ando, and to show that we can avoid it, they all have to be altered/avoided, hence the predictability.
I'm looking forward to the next series, since I find the show itself quite fun and enjoyable. Roll on season 2!
You take what is offered. And that must sometimes be enough. |

**POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR NEXT SEASON
From Yahoo TV News : "Spoiler Alert! I have it on good authority that both Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) and Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) will be back next season. I'm also 99 percent certain Greg Grunberg (Matt) will be back, but not so sure about DL (Leonard Roberts). I have a sneaking suspicion Linderman's blood or heart may heal him, but that could just be my wishful thinking for I love Leonard so.
Glug! Glug! The script called for Nathan to drop Peter into the ocean after he exploded, which should explain my "swim" reference in today's chat. We'll see next season if that is indeed where PP landed.
Spoiler Alert Part Deux! I'm told next season will begin four months into the future and two of the main characters will be in deep despair--one having completely lost his memory (bring on the Bourne Identity storyline!) and the other having developed a major drinking problem. Told ya Sylar wasn't this show's only demon."

- No, wrong, untill the glass was taken out of his head he was dead. So would be the same with the bullit i'd say.
Why did he need Nathan to fly up with him? Surely he could fly off himself.
- True
Why did Sylar let Hiro stab him so easily?
- Cause the script says so

I dunno... I kinda felt let-down.
Can't explain why. I just did. Maybe it was the anti-climactic nature of the fight with Sylar. ----

I did think about this but figured that he had all his concentration on stopping going nuclear. We know peters control over his abilities is patchy at best... trying to fly while retaining control would probably take alot of effort.

Personally, I felt it was a reasonably proper ending. There were some things that seemed a bit rushed/crammed in, and a few things left unsaid - such as who's the "other, much worse man" mentioned in comparison to 'The Boogeyman'. I guess that's for season two...but it still felt oddly unfinished.
Second, I thought it was more strange that Nathan didn't simply fly Peter off to somewhere, where a nuclear explosion would be less damaging. Heck, drop him off in a desert, they'd both survive, or at least have a good chance. It was epic, heroic and whatnot, but why nuke (harr harr) two persons, when they both had a good chance to survive if done otherwise.
Ahwell. A bit rushed, but still, I'd say it was a memorable episode.

It was a good ending. Not as climactic as I had hoped, but it felt like they did that on purpose - to avoid a cheesy climactic battle. The focus was on stopping the bomb.
What I was hoping for was for Claire to do something heroic near the end - for her to accept her powers, and take advantage of them. She's still my favorite character, but she's still a little too passive.
As for season 2, I have another prediction: realizing that there are so many people like them out there that need help or protection, the current heroes plus Mohinder and Noah Bennet take over the Company, and use it to locate and protect heroes (and stop any wannabe Sylars). ____________________________________ Caldari by birth, Minmatar by citizenship.

Personally i thought it was a reasonable ending for a well done series, shame i had to go and die but i guess thats life. I heard from an avid watcher that they are doing 6 episodes over summer completely out of the storyline as a side line episode series, each episode will be about a new person and his or her abilities. Then episode 2 will carry on the main storyline.
All in all a very good series i thought, defiantly one for the DVD shelf when it comes out.

I guess that he didnt fly off himself as he can only use one power at a time (my own theory).
Nathan will prolly have let go and flown off before getting caught in the explosion.
Glad Sylar did'nt die as he's cool.

All you saw in that episode was some flashing lights behind the door and a bearded Mohinder struggling with said door. Not my idea of epic nor cheesy. However, that was one of the best episodes of the series.
So at the end, when you saw that streak of blood going into the sewer, does that mean Sylar is still alive? If so, that could explain why he let Hiro stab him so easily: he had a vision of the future (Mendez's power) of himself being stabbed but surviving, so he let it happen?
Pete not flying away on his own can be explained that he was using all his power to contain the explosion.
One thing I still can't figure out though is a pretty minor detail: when Clair was hesitating to shoot Pete, she muttered something along the lines of "There has to be another way". Then Nathan whooshes down from the sky and says "Yes, there is". How could he possibly have heard what she said from all the way up there? --------------------------------------------------------------------

I wish there could have been a decent fight between Peter and Sylar, there wasnt so it was a disappointing ending.
Among other things, why didn't Nathan shoot Peter?
