I'm currently being held hostage in my current corporation. I've tried removing roles/titles 3 times, but each time they're getting reset by a spiteful CEO. I've tried asking directors to kick me, but in the CEO's (or rather his alt's) own words:
[07:28:01] Reau > then yr staying forever
I filed a petition, but haven't heard a response.

Yes mate. This is considered an exploit, once the petition is picked up by the GM's they will remove you from the corp.

Petition it under harassment and a GM will deal with it in a fast manner and donations accepted to wardec said corp ^^

If I wasn't broke from buying some new BPOs, I'd fund a wardec. I guess it will have to wait a few weeks.

A coin allways have two sides. care to fill us in on what made the ceo decide to play idiot and force you to stay?
can't see any good reason for a ceo to keep a member locked in their corp.

I had the same issue wtih a member who tried to leave without returning shares (profit sharing corporation). I attempted to keep this pilot in for another 24 hours and asked that the shares be returned. A GM withdrew the pilot and I was informed it was an exploit. Thankfully, the pilot did return the shares after being asked again, but I did find the GM involement unsettling.
That's on the otherside of the argument. Looking forward to seeing what CCP does for corp improvement, because they are too vulnerable right now.

Heres the other side of the coin as requested.
After stealing about 500 - 600 mils worth of isk and equipment from our corp hangar. Our CEO did something stupid, he re-assigned roles to the corp thief.
Should he have done it, no he shouldn't but the abuse of trust brought on the onset of red mist.. and the rest, as they say, is history.
So the bpo's that the thief bought were bought with our money, anyone contributing to his war fund should ask him for a refund, or follow him to whatever corp he joins and war dec that corp (like MNET plan on doing) :)
Secondly roles were only assigned once, once too many but ONCE not as the OP indicates.

lol always limited access to corp hangers, make greater use of contracts and members having their own assets or consider creating a seperate corparation for the new members of the corp seperated from the main ( if in alliance)

Soulja, unfortunately you weren't informed. I asked both Don and YQ to remove me, which is when Don replied on Reau as posted above. Don (or another director) also reset my standings 3 times over a 36 hour period, then an additional 2 times after I asked him to remove me. I'd post the chat logs, but apparently that's against forum policy. EVEMail me if you want a copy, Soulja.

Your actually quite lucky to have gotten the GM you did. I've have seen other instances were it was NOT considered an exploit and the person basically had their character stuck until the corp got bored or they went inactive.
I really wish CCP would give a defined set of rules to their GMs.

If you knew someone who got a STUPID response from a GM, you should have told them to escalate to someone less stupid.
It's been an exploit for as long as I can search.

Glad I got out of MNET when I did...
Do you keep the chinese farmers in the corp with the same tactics?
Or your telling me those guys on 24/7 and speaking in english only ever to eachother are there for some other reason?
No its not being racist because they only talk in chinese when they do, and they appear to just farm.
