Im new to this game and started a trial account a few days ago. I dit complete the tutorial which really is something that is required for a new player here so much to learn and many things that are so different compared to other games.
I only do have one question. After doing a mission yesterday where I had to analyze an ancient ship wreck and completed the mission I went back to the ship to notice that it has dissapeared. After that I asked in the Rookie Channel why this was and learned that mission object dissapear after the mission is completed. Now I am curious what happens if for example 2 pilots are near such an object and only one has a mission for it and is for analyzing it. How does the other player see this ? Does he see another pilot analyzing just space and doesnt he see the object ?
Maybe a strange question but I'm just curious :)
Great game by the way also really love the way the trial account is done. 14 days and no restrictions at least haven't seem them yet. Great way to get to know the game a bit before deciding to join.
Thnx in advance for any reply

If you go to a complex, a permanent mission site if you will, it is first come first served. The one that gets to the ship / object first and completes the task first gets the stuff. The object will then respawn after some time (up to several hours) before any one else can get there. If you kill a ship the wreck will stay in space for ~one hour before it dissapears.
Now, If you got a mission from an agent that missions location is only known to you although the site actually exists to others as well. If they manage to get there using scanners/probes they will see you and all the NPC's you are trying to kill and they can in fact "steal" the things from you. Finding another players mission site is very difficult so usually no worries there. If you go out into lowsec you might want watch out for any intruders though just in case. If only you and dead people know hex, how many people know hex?

Thnx for the reply. So if I get this right the person in the Rookie Channel saying that mission objects are not seen after completing the respective mission was wrong. After some time the object respawns and is seen by everyone how comes to that place is this correct ? (I did bookmark the location and I am thinking of returning there this evening).

Edited by: Kumu Honua on 23/05/2007 10:15:21 Each agent mission is "Spawned". It is spawned in a random location in space.
Anyone can go there, but only you get a direct bookmark.
Once you complete the mission with your agent, the site will vanish. Nothing will remain in space (Such as asteroids, enemies, whatnot).
The only things that remain after you complete a mission are wrecks and cans.
I believe that when you return to your mission site tonight, you will find nothing is there.
Complexes are another story all together and are permanent (For now) sites in space such as "Rogue Drone Infestation" and so on.
These places are permanent, and the enemies will respawn over time.

One further thing. If you go back and complete your mission while another player is still in the mission space, that player will see everything suddenly disappear when the mission is completed. It can be an eerie experience the first time you see it happen.
