I've debated what to make of this, and whether or not to post it. I decided to put it up and see what ya'll think. Think this is really Morbor? Or someone who bought his account. The guy lied and changed his story countless times, so I wouldn't take what little information I got as the bible.
Here it is:

Well, at this point I don't really care.. 10 mil back then was alot for me, now its pocket change as I'v gotten to a comfortable place from playing the game for considerable time.
I'm still curious, and I'm sure alot of other people are to.
Remember how much 17.5 billion isk sold for?

It was broken up into lots and sold piecemeal under private auction - so no public figure or end buyers I'm afraid.
Timings and other information led to the connection with Morbor's money. Dont take that as gospel, though I suspect it is accurate.

Please don't hassle people like that, it's not nice, even if he is Morbor and scammed 17.5bil, he was rp'ing (and very well) and it was within game rules. |

Well. If this guy have bought that account, then you are harassing him for something that he did not do. I think you should grow up and let it be.
Asking Morbor why he did it have noe value. Its not like he will tell you something that can make you feel better.
Besides you say that 17bil is pocket change. Well if thats so. Why do you harass this alt thats not even played by morbor ?
And if this guy really still are morbor then to you, what a looser. Corp theft and not even having the backbone to stand for your actions. This is a game, there is no reasons to hide. And when you do hide then that only show that you stole this not as a game character but as a real life human and you probably are a thieve in real life to.

If your interested, Morbor posted an explanation of why he did it and how he did it and why it went to crap all of a sudden on the Eve-I.com site a month or so back.

A small and very important distinction i should point out if morbor was RPing he would have kept teh isk, however he decided to sell it on ebay and make RL money. Had players decided to do that it would have been fine but he scammed people out of thier hard earned isk and increased his RL bank balance off them. Small point i didn't invest in the scheme as i suspected that he would do a runner but i do feel sorry for people like bombkit who at the time gave up large amounts of money to some1 they trusted.

No he did not. he lost it all. The pyramide game he run did collaps. Some won, some lost, and he lost it all.

You have a RIGHT to someone's personal information if they screw you?
Btw, I have some beachfront property in Iowa that I would like to sell you.

as a "good" guy i kinda pity what happend to you. As an FA member, I laugh at this comment,"im not a bad person im not going to harrass him". You harrass Fa everytime you get a chance with your lil spartan crew. Blowing up n00b indys that are working hard to get somewhere. I SEE YOU REMEMBER HOW BEING RIPPED OFF FEELS. Let me tell you something, those noobs will be just like you one day, filled with vengence with a few names on thier list. Your name is on them. As for me you guys only got me once due to my stupidity. Your day of reconing is comming, pocket change or not if you lose 10bs's it will start to hurt.

I think this guy is in fact Morbor and is clearly hiding what he has done.
However like what has been said above, so what ?
This guy pulled off a scam which ripped off a lot of people.
He has not done anything in real life and you have no justification in contacting him outside of the Eve world.
Hunt him and kill him in Eve, if you can, but dont try to contact him IRL.

Iowa, really, how much?
Can't help but ponder the thought of selling my beachfront in Minnesota for some cornfed beachfront in Iowa. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |

Edited by: Bombkit on 17/01/2004 12:42:09 Edited by: Bombkit on 17/01/2004 12:40:49 My post where I pointed out I wasn't really in the wrong for ASKING for morbor's email somehow disappeared.... But, I pointed out.. that..
If your mother buys a nice lamp from a guy on eBay and you want one to, would your mother be violating his privacy by giving you his seller ID or e-mail so you could look at his auctions? In all likely hood, no. In fact, she'd be helping him by giving him more business. I might have wanted to purchase something from the seller to. (Mabey the post got deleted for talking about buying accounts? I'm speaking hypothetically. But, sorry)

mmmm guys please stop talking about hard earned ISK. EVE is in fact a computer game and designed so the people that play it can have fun. If view your time in EVE as work than perhaps you should not play it and get a real job.
As for Morbor than I kind of remember the story and he plain and simple outsmarted a lot of people. If I had been scammed like that then I would feel a mixture of admiration for morbor and shame for falling for it.
Furthermore I hope you new Morbor will not give away his e-mail address.
Good luck to both of you. __________ Capacitor research |
